My 2012-13 MacBook Pro was running slow with the spinning color ball of death meaning my hard drive was failing. I upgraded my internal ram from 4 to 16 gb of RAM and it was recommended to replace hard drive with a solid state hard drive. I found this Samsung model and researched it on Amazon and it was as advertised: easy install and my laptop works good as new. I backed up on Apple time machine and is running perfectly.

I was actually looking for the EVO as I bought a couple recently to put into my old computers to replace the hdd drives. The QVO is supposed to be slightly slower but I havent noticed it. I wanted Samsung drives because you can use the free Samsung data migration app to clone your existing hard disk and make the clone bootable. The app will work only on Samsung drives. Though you can get free cloning software say Macrium it doesnt make them bootable unless you pay for a better version.

Does this fit an HP Pavilion desktop?

Muy buenos discos los Samsung, de batalla, resistió instalación de software 4 veces sin problema, solo brindar buena ventilación porque si son muy sensibles a Thermal throttling

Used as a secondary storage for games. Havent had any problems. Is very easy to install. Its my second one and probably will buy more in the future.

Bought this to replace my mechanical HDD and improve load times with a 5-year-old custom PC. Using the migration software was easier than using Clonezilla and was straight forward. Once cloned and restarted, my PC went from a 52 second load time to literally 15 seconds from initial button press to loading the desktop and going online. Loading programs and games have significantly been improved and run smoother. Very pleased with this SSD and would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade an older HDD.
