> 24 hourI am getting top-tier Sarah SSD speeds. The people complaining about slow speeds are probably the same people who bought small hard drives (Which are obviously going to be slower than the larger ones)

> 24 hourI installed this drive in my trusty old iMac (late 2009). I wasn’t expecting much, but this drive made the computer super fast. No issues whatsoever during installation. The computer is nothing like a brand new machine, but I am happy. I was able to give it longer life - and if this drive lasts another 3-4 years, I will be even happier.

> 24 hourOur HDD quit! I wanted a solid state drive to replace it so I got this one with same 1 TB storage as the HDD that failed. A friend installed, but I understand it is easy to do. Love it! Its faster, I can run more programs at same time with it & Im not afraid it will fail within 1 - 2 years! Additionally, the price was excellent and the shipping was fast.

> 24 hourPurchased this to swap into my Mac Mini (late 2012) since the 120gb SSD I put in years back ran out of space. I have also used the 860 Evo to swap into other Macs and I dont see a huge difference between this (for now, longterm performance is where the differences may arise). However, for under $90, you cant go wrong with this Samsung drive. Great value & performance.

> 24 hourThe price has dipped as low as $107, and for a terabyte of SSD with a brand name behind it, its hard to find fault. I will say that getting the SSD to the point I could initialize it was an unusually weird experience. One reason was that it took Samsung Magician software (you download it separately) to begin this process, and the SSD must be attached as an INTERNAL drive, not dangling from a USB cable like I usually initialize SSDs with. There were other missteps on my part with this oddball, but they may not apply to you. Be sure to assign a drive letter when you initialize (Windows gives you this as an option) or it wont show up again when you attach it via USB cable, which is how I use mine. I would also suggest you use the Samsung Magician software to overprovision the drive which is easy to do with the softwares wizard. Since this thing uses cheap memory that will wear out sooner than most SSDs, adding some over-provisioned space will lessen the amount of storage you have, but greatly speed up and lengthen the life of this little weekend special. It saves large files VERY SLOWLY, though smaller files dont feel that different than more expensive TLC or MLC drives. The product arrived quickly, especially considering Im at a Pacific region DPO address.

> 24 hourI had some difficulties copying my Windows 10 laptop drive to this drive, entirely of my own making. Modern operating systems use GPT partition tables, but the 500GB drive on my laptop used the old MSDOS MBR style system. In short, while you can copy MBR partitions to a GPT disk, Windows 10 throws a hissy fit because it wasnt installed on GPT originally, wanting you to use the MBR2GPT tool to do the transfer. I just reformatted the partition table to MBR, redid the copy, and STILL had to fix the drive letters so it could boot. Make sure you have your windows restore USB handy and look up the Change Drive Letters for Boot on the interwebs. Great product, not its fault Windows wants to make it damn difficult to transfer your drive to a new one.
