Great drive, fast and dependable.

The drive was not usable as an Operating System drive. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work and finally gave up and ordered a new drive. Unfortunately, I was past the return policy date. If the drive does not work as an OS drive immediately, return it!

I rarely write reviews but I am so happy with this drive. I used EaseUS Todo Backup 11.5 to clone my old WD HD which worked great (The software that is). I had a PNY XLR8 in my laptop which is an HP ProBook 450 G1 and it died and I had to revert back to my old drive. My startup times were what seemed like an eternity. Now I boot up to the login screen in about 3-5 seconds and another 10 or 15 and I am totally up. I have been playing around and learning Oracle DB and Informatica and have those programs installed. They are now lightning fast. I used to have to wait about what seemed like 30 seconds for the Informatica Services to start and now it like I click the mouse and they start right up. I have a huge Access DB on my computer and it opens in seconds. I do not know a lot about the benchmark scored if I am reading it right then appears I have 3G both read and write. I was expecting it to show 6, but I am not real sure if I am looking at it correctly. Someone might want to correct me on my assumptions, but regardless I am very happy. Hopefully this thing will last longer than the PNY did.

upon installing it in my computer, it worked the first time I turned the computer on, then it fried my hard drive.

My PS4 is faster and 1 TB now. I downloaded the Operating System from Sony, and I had a nice installation. Some tips: 1. PS4 is FAT 32 2. I saved my games in a HD USB as a extended storage, so I already had my games at hand for the new SSD HD. For example, Destiny is 100 GB ( many hours to download ) and it was easier to send files from the USB HD to the new SSD Samsung.

I recently bought a laptop that had a 1 TB HDD in it. It was slow. So I bought this SSD. I downloaded the free Samsung software to duplicate my HDD. That took about an hour. Swapped the drives and now its great. Boots and shutdowns in a few seconds.

It works. I like it.
