Great product

This SSD is as advertised. The package only contains the hard drive and paper manuals. It does not include a SATA cable or cables of any kind (a user answered incorrectly in the Q&A section on this product on Amazon).

Just transformed my Tablet PC into a fast machine. So far so good. Update: Didnt even last 2 years. Its a shame because I love Samsung products. I was at least fortunate I could retrieve my data. Otherwise it simply doesnt work anymore.

QVOs are slower than EVOs by design therefore cheaper. Make sure you are aware of the differences before you buy. I wanted this drive to keep local backups, therefore for me is fine.

I have always heard about about the SSD and how fast and smooth but never experienced one until today WOW what a difference and the Samsung 1tb makes me want to move up to larger ones

Purchased this to upgrade my new PS4 PRO.....to both a faster SSD over its slow 5400 Seagate 1 TB hard drive plus get 2x the storage that was needed. I benchmarked it on my iMac using the Blackmagic speed test app I always use for new internal and external drives. Read and write speed was very good at 220 mbps write and 245 mbps read. I have faster SSDs I use here that tested about 300 mbps...but, given this SSD was priced on sale during the holiday at under $180, and its performance is still excellent over a spinning, slow conventional hard drive, it is still certainly worthy of purchasing to achieve a substantial performance and capacity gain over a slow conventional hard drive. After installation and setup on my new PS4 PRO, performance at boot/turning on plus general accessing during use is clearly improved. Boot time when turning on my PS4 PRO is reduced by about about 50%, and it just behaves faster all around after boot, including especially, loading/installing new games to the drive. My PS4 PRO runs very warm when gaming. An SSD will produce very minimal heat output over a spinning drive which will produce more heat by nature of its design and its spinning disks. Bottom line, if youre looking to increase performance as your first priority and also want more capacity, this 2 TB drive will do the job for sure. If you want better performance and are fine at a lower cost capacity, than consider the 1 TB version instead.

This thing save 2 dying laptops. 6 year old dell laptop showed blue screen of death. Was able to remove and access hd to clone to ssd. Made such a difference, booted right up and super fast. The second was a toshiba laptop, 5 years old sluggish and getting slower by the day. Replaced super easy and turned it into a new laptop. Plenty of storage and speed for everyday use. I do not use for gaming just normal word processing, internet, photo editing etc. From the time i bought the first one to the time i bought the second one the price jumped so i assume they are in high demand. There are tons of vids online to walk through installation if needed. Very easy to install. Will need a sata data cable to access files outside of the laptop . Highly recommend if your laptop needs a boost. Will extend the life for sure.

Excelente ssd

A lot of a computers system runs off the hard drive which is often the limiting factor in terms of computer performance. SSDs have dropped dramatically in price and Samsung is reliable. They also offer free software to transfer you computer system from one hard drive to another. Game Changer For Sure.
