Greater than one weekI bought these drives to upgrade two older Windows 7 laptops. My biggest interest was improving the boot time and that went from 1 min 20 sec to 12 seconds. That was well worth the investment for me.

> 3 dayI replaced the standard hard drive in my girlfriends Macbook pro 2012 and the performance boost along with 16 GB of ram was astonishing. It made that mac an extremely viable option for most task and even some light video editing with FCPX.

> 3 dayUpgraded a Laptop 512GB HDD with this 1TB 2.5” Internal Solid State Drive, and felt in Heaven...! It is almost the sensation you wont need to go to 16GB RAM -from 4 or 8GB RAM. Plenty of storage for Win 10, Ubuntu 22.04.2, Linux Mint 21.1, and Puppy Linux bionicpup648, so 4 OS in just one 1TB SSD!

Greater than one weekSamsung products are awesome. This SSD works great and gets about 550/530 read/write speeds on a SATA III (6gb/s) connection. However, if you install the Samsung Magician Software from the CD or the newest version from their website and turn Rapid mode on, you will then see about 2000-3000/read-write speeds depending on your motherboard and SATA speeds. I only buy Samsung SSDs as I notice a difference with Rapid mode off and on. Other brand SSDs dont feature Rapid mode, so Samsung is my only choice.

Greater than one weekSpeed, reliability, and backed up by a real warranty by Samsung, had a problem with 1 860 Evo in the past and Samsung warranty was fast to solve it, and I did not have to spend a penny to get a replacement disk, only 1 disk out of ay least 30 I have installed have ever had a problem and it was not a dead disk, it was simply hanging randomly, leaving my computer froze for a minute or so once in a while.
