Its a Samsung SSD. Installation was simple. Storage is great. Speed is consistently faster than my other SATA SSDs (500+ MB/s). Not much else to say. Nowadays, for storage, I buy Samsung. Directly from Amazon. Period. No hassles, no issues, no problems.

works as expected, it runs 10-15 degrees (Celsius) hotter than my older Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD but that doesnt affect its performance in any noticeable way

Ive purchased dozens of this drive for clients & for myself - and I have tried other vendors SSDs who were less expensive. The failure rate of SSDs that arent Amazon is shockingly high. There is simply no better SSD on the market, whether traditional 2.5s or NVMs. I wont trust anything else.

I installed this in my HP laptop as an upgrade to the HDD it came with. The laptop is now much faster; it runs quieter and cooler also. It seems to use less power too, so my replacement battery now lasts about the same time as the OEM battery.

So my 256gb adata OS ssd ran out of room, shocking i know. I was hoping to just use it for the OS, however not every application shares my plans. So it ran out of room, finding a software to image and copy the ssd was fruitless, with a few options explored - even went so far as to try macrium reflect which sadly even couldnt clone the drive. But Samsungs data migration software only likes samsung destination drives, so i ended up spending a little more on the drive, but it works better than a kingston that doesnt have the image installed. plus i can be confident this one should be more reliable.

The Samsung SSD is a great improvement to any aging or sluggish computer with a traditional HD.

12 years working in the IT industry, I have worked with many different computer parts. When it comes to Solid state drives, Samsung Evos are my go to.

Be sure to download Samsung Magician and transfer your data from the old drive to this new one in order to be able to use it. I had some initial confusion, but eventually figured it out. Solid upgrade for my wifes PC so she could play Hogwarts Legacy.
