> 24 hourDidn’t take long to install, got it up and running in no time. If anyone needs a reliable ssd go with this one. Spring for the 2tb version as well, saves time on needing to upgrade.

> 24 hourIm mostly using it as NAS storage on a 10GB LAN network at home. Its fast and low power. Doesnt generate heat. Normally I wouldnt use a SSD but 2TB on a fast network is perfect for what I need. I also use it for fast backups system backups to the NAS. Hope to see larger drives like this get cheaper.

> 24 hourIf youre doing a clean boot windows install hard drives can be a little finicky with the formatting style and getting your boot process to recognize the drive and boot order. If youre just cloning your old drive its relatively easy if you have the external usb adapter to clone the HD to the SSD. Make sure your case has the hookups. Overall it was very easy. Reliable. This thing has made my PC 100x faster during boot up and on other programs I run from this drive. I bought 1Tb I just regret not getting the 2Tb. Get it. Youll be pleased.

> 24 hourIt took me a while to realize that I needed to update the UEFI BIOS so Windows could recognize all the storage. Once I did it had no problem whatsoever. Well worth the price for the very fast startup and smooth operation.

> 24 hourThis is NOT a bad review of the 870 QVO. I had purchased it expecting it to work with my MacPro 5,1 running OSX High-Sierra. The computer was able to read and write to the drive. However, when using it as the OSX bootable disk, the computer would not boot-up. I tried using APFS and Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and both attempts failed after many tries. So this is info for anyone thinking about installing the 870 QVO in an older Mac. After my issues, I did a deep dive down the rabbit hole of forums and eventually found some info from others who say this SSD will not work properly on some macs and advised to instead use the 860 EVO which many have had success with (I have ordered an 860 EVO).
