This ssd is working well for me. After I remembered to install the Samsung driver for its PCI NVMe drives on the older, smaller SATA ssd I was replacing by cloning, the new drive booted up fine since the Windows OS that I moved onto it had the driver already installed. This is an important step that I initially forgot to do, resulting in no boot to the new ssd.

Best upgrade to my Nitro 5 Laptop, also has a full software program to manage and customize your drive to your needs.

This ssd is two times faster than my default ssd drive. I am very happy with my purchase. Money well spent!

I bought this so my son could add it to his PS5. This is Gen 3, and the console rejected it. As it happens, in my desktop I had a 1 TB 980 that was getting full. So I swapped it for this slower but bigger one, which will work perfectly well for my needs. What it really means is its time for me to start cleaning house. I will get an adapter and put the 980 in an SSD slot, because thats easier than deciding what data to throw out.

Was surprised when these installed but benchmarked slower reads than my existing old 970 EVO NVME SSDs ...

So this is a review of any 970 Evo Plus produced past February 2021.

After reading reviews of people complaining about recieving fake samsung nvme drives i was worried but everything turned out fine in the end. It was shipped quickly and delivered quickly. At first glance everything looks legit, the package was obviously not an open box and the serial numbers match the product.

Installed (500GB) and works great! Installed in my Dell Latitude 5580 laptop and my ASRock X99 Taichi desktop. Both reaching advertised speeds (your results may vary... depending on the system and configuration). The picture is from my x99 Desktop.
