Its fast and its genuine. It was literally twice as fast as the generic NVME drive that came with my computer.

Unbelievably fast loading. This being my first time on a non prebuilt pc, I cannot believe the speed for booting and loading games up.

To start out, this drive is blisteringly fast. Top scores in just about every metric, if pure speed is your goal, this is the drive to get. This is my 6th Samsung SSD, following a 830, 840 Pro and EVOs, 860 EVO, and finally this 970 EVO Plus. Unfortunately, this particular 1TB 970 Evo Plus died about 3 months after purchase. Drive was no longer recognized in BIOS after functioning well from date of purchase.

Samsung is the leader in these products without a doubt. There are other more cost effective and equally good in performance such as the XPG8200, but this is the Cadillac of drives if you have the budget. I actually use this as my game storage drive and have a separate 2-1/2 SSD boot drive. This drive made a huge difference in boot time even as the secondary drive. I know, it seems backwards because of the speed differences, but this works and works well. I did not want my games on my boot drive which is not as large of capacity and not required for what I do. I highly recommend this drive, but wait to get it on sale, it then makes the price more bearable.

was changing from a SP drive to this one and this is my first samsung evo drive. mostly have it as a OS boot drive and after a week i have no problems. might be buying more soon.
