> 3 dayI have a desktop, phone and laptop. I tried this primarily because it had good reviews for handwriting to text recognition, and I thought it would be helpful for taking notes by hand. But I guess my handwriting style is uniquely unsuited to recognition software, because when I tried multiple times to use the writing to text feature, it always required retyping the entire note, defeating the purpose. I gave up and returned the tablet and went back to my yellow pad.

> 3 dayThis tablet is an exceptional device. It has an amazingly bright display. The S-Pen has features that many who own Samsung Galaxy devices with an S-Pen dont know about. It is relatively intuitive basically mirroring the way my Samsung smart phone operates.

> 3 dayI had the tablet for 15 days and I began to have issues with the slide button. When the screen was locked, the screen would remain off when the slid button was pressed. The only way I could log in is if I pressed the button several times and it would trigger the camera function. For some reason the camera would turn the screen back on. The problem persisted after extensive trouble shooting including factory reset. The customer service for Samsung was also poor. It took me 3 days to receive a return label to send it out to get looked at. This was before the 2-3 ship time they said it would take for them to receive it. It would then be another 5-7 days for them to look at it and another 2-3 days to receive it back. This would be about two weeks for them to fix an issue that occurred after 15 days of ownership. At this point I returned it on Amazon as I did not want to deal with Samsung again. The product battery life was very good, the screen (when it worked) was nice. The S pen was nice and the sound quality from the speakers was great. However, my experience with Samsung technical support and the product malfunctioning in 15 days was not favorable.

> 3 dayI have had it for almost 4 days now and I already see the potential of what can be done using it. So far, it is great. No complaints other than that when I received the Samsung box (not the shipping box), it was a bit crumbled inside at the edge, but that bore no harm to the screen thank God.

> 3 dayIm not a tablet guy. I prefer laptops, but my daughter found that her Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook didnt have all the options for Tiktok, and I indulged her with this tablet. Because I have an Android phone and this tablet runs on Android, Im very familiar with the system. Set-up only took ten minutes. I put on both my Google account and my daughters. The screen looks great, the swiping on the screen works like my Samsung phone, the speakers sound good, and the tablet offers better value than the pricier iPad Air in terms of power, and included stylus. We put the protective screen cover on it and thats a good thing because after using it for 10 minutes, my daughter dropped it, split the screen cover and fortunately the actual device was unharmed. It is a must that you put a rugged case and screen cover on the Galaxy tablet. It is slippery in your hand and you will inevitably drop it. For this reason, for children and teens, I recommend you get a good Chromebook like the Lenovo Flex 5i or the Acer Spin 713 or Spin 714. I find it is more rugged, can be used as both a tablet and a laptop, and gets 7 years of updates. I believe this Galaxy only gets 4 years of updates. But if you insist on the tablet experience, I can give this Galaxy Tab S8, 5 stars.

> 3 dayI bought tab S8 to replace tab s5e. The old tablet was very nice, but the new one is a clear improvement. Better wifi, slightly larger screen, better battery life, noticably better performance due to a newer chipset and more memory. Android 13 with UI 5 is more polished. I was worried that the LED screen on S8 will be worse than the AMOLED screen on S5e, but I do not see much of a difference. S8 is somewhat heavier, but this is not a deal breaker. The tablet feels premium, fingerprint sensor works well. One can use microsd cards to expand storage. The price is high, but I got a good deal, discount plus a good trade in value for tab s3. Highly recommend the tablet, especially is you can get a good deal.
