> 3 dayThe product is good. But beware of buying if you are in Singapore. Samsung Singapore does not cover the Warranty if the SSD is not local set. Samsung Singapore allow the serial number to be registered on their warranty website and shows it is covered. But this doesnt mean the warranty is covered. You have to contact them to find out if the serial number is local set or export set. If it is export set, no warranty coverage.

> 3 dayIve used 2 Samsung T5s and they were great. So why not go up to a T7. This thing had trouble being detected by my PC to even download any of the footage, it overheats constantly stopping me from filming things after 10 minutes, the videos arent detected when the SSD is detected, and when I finally get them uploaded they have red and black bars all over them despite I have the correct Blackmagic plugin. I never had these issues with the T5.

> 3 dayThis external hard drive works perfectly. However, if youre going to use it on a Mac and you want the backup to be bootable, you have to change the file format from the exFat format to the APFS format. Then all of the files will be bootable.

05-06-2025I have no idea how this has so many good reviews. They must have changed the quality recently or something because mine overheated and crashed so quickly I was shocked

> 3 dayI bought this SSD on 9/14/2020 and it constantly overheats and unmounts from my Mac. This seems to cause my Mac to lock up/crash as well. The SSD gets hot to the touch. Ive switched back to my WD My Passport USB HDD and it works just fine. Ill be looking to get a replacement/return for this Samsung SSD. Just not reliable. I recommend folks to avoid this SSD.

> 3 dayObviously, I cant tell you that over 5, 10, 15 years this thing will not fail or lose data. But in the short term, Im so glad I got this thing. Connected with USB-C to USB-C directly to my laptop, it is at least as fast as my internal SSDs, possibly faster. I actually use this as extra storage for games, and I actually RUN them from it. One example is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. If that isnt good enough praise, I dont know what is.
