    Had a small hdd I bought about 5 years ago and this one puts it to shame as far as transfer speeds. Hooked to a MacBook Air this one transfers 1gb in no time. Once I got the MacBooks hd cleaned out some it would transfer even quicker.

    This product was a total waste of money!!! Needed it for a production and it did not work out the box. I purchased this in December 2022 and finally unboxed it this month. Will not purchase this item again.

    I got this T7 Samsung detachable drive to transfer images and documents from. my ancient Mac to my new Mac. Its FAST (37,500 big, some multi-gig images transferred in less than 7 minutes), small, and I love that it came with 2 USB cables. 8,00 documents (many are more than 500 pages each) transferred almost instantly. One cable is USBC to USBC (new to new), but the other is old USB to USBC (old to new), enabling easy transfer from my old Mac. I didnt need tech support. Its new, so I dont know how long it will last, but its perfect for my needs.

    I could not load any files on the SSD and it crashes when I try to format it. I Looks like I flushed 300 down the drain. I hope Samsung has a warranty!
