Small and faster SSD best ever I had!

If youre a pro user pushing lots of high-speed data like video files, these SSD drives are a life saver for backups and to keep your hard drive free. I have about 10 of these now -- and 9 of them are various versions of the Samsungs -- so I cant say enough good things about them. With an M1 MacBook Pro you can transfer 100 gigs in two minutes or so -- with is crazy fast. They will heat up a little if you backup a terabyte or so to them. Thumbs up.

Avoid Samsung SSD T7. My experience is similar to the experiences others have had with this product. Specifically, SSD causes computers to over heat. The SSD also gets extremely hot! The issue does not correlate to i/o or computational load. The issue occurs the moment the SSD is attached to the computer. Interestingly, the Samsung T5 does not have these problems. It is my conjecture that the T7 is simply an overclocked T5. If my suspicions are true Samsung is engaging in very shady business practices. Please do your self a huge favor and avoid the T7 as it will ruin your hardware.

Works Great if you use the right USB cable. Was having the same problem mentioned in many reviews, would not stay connected. For convenience I was using a USB cable that I had. I finally tried one that came with the device. Works fine now. I spent two hours on with tech support, couldnt figure it out. WARNING use the right Cable.

Very fast data transfer rates. I am editing video projects with four layers of 4K video. The SSD is able to provide all for streams without any trouble.

Super fast, good for gaming. Thought since it was SSD, it would support Xbox S/X games but sadly, no. Should’ve done more research so I returned it. Only issue was, I ONLY had it hooked to my Xbox. Transferred some games to it, and it got SUPER hot. Buyer beware.

2 months later, no issues.
