SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

I am a gamer with my own rig that unfortunately only has 256 GB of an SSD (all I could afford at the time). Needed the upgrade, Im a big fan of Samsung products, and this works perfectly for downloading all the games I wanted on an SSD. Big fan of this product and would greatly recommend it.

Not sure why my first reviews not posted as I showed the damage with shipping as it was shipped in a thin bubble envelope instead of box. See pictures of the damage. Not worried as the drive has no moving parts, but they need to thinking about how they ship various items. Ok for the good, this drive is small, portable and solid. It has 2TB of storage and work out well for moving my PS4 games over to the drive as well as moving my PS5 games over. I was able to play PS4 off the drive with no issues. It takes less time to move PS5 from the ssd to the console, than to download it to the console. The console will only allow certain speed, so to get the faster one would be overkill and more expensive. The T5 drive will get the job done and not break the bank. So far, so good. I have played the PS4 game (COD) right off the drive with no problems for a few days. Worth the buy.

Big things come in small packages. who needs SD cards when you have got one of these neat little hard drives.

Great drive

This thing is fast and it’s tiny. It’s Samsung, so I assume it’s going to last me a long time. Can’t ask for much more than that.

Samsung T5 SSD 1TB USB 3.1 Absolutely love it. Have had no problems with it. Plugged it in, computer automatically detected it and that was it, could not have been simpler. Can not really comment on the durability of the product, Ive not had anything happen to it so far but it seems well constructed and should be able to take some wear and tear.

I have been using Samsung SSDs for so many years from 850 Evo and now this one. I was really surprised by the size of this SSD, its very small and lightweight too. The initial encryption process was very fast and I can easily connect it with my laptops and S10+ with the included cables. I would recommend getting a case for it because the metal surface will get easily scratched as it doesnt have a rubber grip on either side.

It’s delivered it’s promise as a super portable ssd drive. It’s size fits perfectly into one’s pocket and it’s capability to transfer large chunk of data is amazing. I’m a video editor and I can not imaging how I could work without it.
