It arrived and was as advertised. So far it works just like one would expect it to. Just an external USB drive. I like it.

The app for Macs that comes with this drive proved to be malware, making it impossible to use other portable drives. There is no simple way to delete this app, you can confirm that by reading the online manual. I was not able to get help from Samsung until several weeks after I had delete the app by erasing my entire internal drive and restoring it from a backup. I then had to reformat the older drives to make them usable again. A couple of weeks after going through all that I finally got an email response from Samsung. Another problem with this product was that even though I ejected it according to instructions, then next time I used it I would always get a message saying that it was not properly ejected.

Very handy. I used it for occasional backup for two Apple MBPs (one USB-A, one USB-C) each with an internal 512GB SSD, where I want to be able to take the backup with me (the T5 will fit in your shirt pocket!), or make the backup when Im not at home. Theres still enough room to store some other files too.

I purchased this to store videos. I added several, and then discovered that it applied a password to the login. I was summarily locked out, for which I lost all my videos. After much frustration I formatted the drive so that I could use it again. Now the size of the drive has been reduced to 83.8 MB? And today, I discovered that it restored the SamsungPortableSSD.app and other files I had previously deleted and added a password again? Just crazy. I gave this drive 2-stars since its reasonably priced for an external SSD. Yet the password feature needs to go.

Very easy plug & play install

All is Perfect , Light Durable , But the Transfer speed is Low .. not more than 40 MB / S !!
