Convenient, fast, and handy. I can connect it to my phone or computer. I love that I can put it in my pocket and access stuff on my phone when Im away from the computer.

Works fine, in my case MacBook Pro 16 2019 with USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 (Apple claims 3.1 is AKA 3.2), IRL speed for moving files from the MacBook Pro onto the drive is ~350 MB/s. I did erase the drive and converted the file system to APFS, so this might account for the discrepancy in the I/O metrics. I was moving a total transfer load of 350GB with a combination of small files (1k-4mb) and large files (5gb - 150gb). Overall way much faster than USB3, however not quite 1GB/s as advertised, still this was well within my expectations. Several buyers mentioned the unit runs hot, however from experience with other external drives over the years, I think it runs about as hot as any other device Ive previously owned, so not a big deal IMO.

This is the third Samsung T-SSD drive that I own. I have been very happy with them and have never had a problem. Yes they do get a little warm if you are running a continuous backup that is going to take a long time, but I guess most drives of this type will. Only way to avoid this would be if they were in a housing with a fan

I purchased this to use for recording my PC gameplay directly to it (Nvidia Shadowplay) and Video Editing directly from it. It is very fast and is great for Youtube video editing in Adobe Premier. The only Con I have is the storage size! They say you get what you pay for.. I paid more for the Samsung brand and got less storage. Overall, I would recommend but go a size up from the size you actually need! Does not over heat and it is about the size of a credit card. Im very impressed with this SSD. Not only is it very thin, small, and light, it is also blazingly fast. I have a recording studio, and on a traditional thumb drive, it takes almost 10 minutes to back up the files for a single project. With the T7, its done in 2 seconds. Im using it with a Mac Mini M1 using the Thunderbolt 3 connection. Wow! is it ever fast!

Bought this hard drive cuz it was realtively cheap and compact, and I totally regret it. This hard drive has not only crashed on me MULTIPLE times, but at the MOST crucial. I hate this hard drive so much. It constantly loses files, and then randomly disconnects. No bumps or touches. Ill go to click it, and a blank window comes up. I cant even disconnect it! The worst. Hard drive. Ever.
