> 3 dayI bought an inexpensive joystick to play Street Fighter, but I wanted an octagon gate so I switched it and a few other parts took about 30 minutes and the joystick works really well.

> 3 dayPerfect replacement stick for a Mayflash F101. Was having trouble with the stick not recognizing all the directions but I tried a different cable and flipped the cable around and it works fine now. Needs a five pin cable (sold separately), but you can get like... 5 for $3 so its no big deal. The install itself was super easy- I went into it completely blind and figured it out no problem. Absolutely recommended.

> 3 dayI have this set up as a 4-way for Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, etc. Easy to connect up to a usb encoder and use with Mame etc. I’m going to buy another one of these with some buttons for an 8-way setup to use with other games. Solid feel. Feels like I’m in the arcade. The plate is easy to switch but not something you want to switch every time you change games. I can see the plastic giving tabs giving out after too many switches. I tried Pac-Man in 8-way mode and game play was more difficult. Lots of mistakes. Do yourself a favor and buy two: one for 4-way and one for 8-way. Worth every penny.

> 3 dayRecently made a Retropie setup. Bought a used RAP4 from a guy who said it didnt work well for him. It was OK, but I was planning on upgrading the joystick to this one anyways. This joystick was better, but couldnt perform special moves in Street Fighter 2. Removed the 4-way restrictor plate, and it was marginally better. Figured Id give this product a shot: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VVG936T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now, I am able to complete SF2 all the way through (with lots of virtual quarters). It is 95% of what the old arcade joysticks felt like. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekThis is the gold standard for arcade joysticks. It feels perfect. I replaced the joystick in my main fighting stick with this and could instantly tell a difference. I do recommend getting an octagonal restrictor plate unless you prefer the square.

> 3 dayThere is some confusion over a different company shipping them from Hong Kong, but I bought it and it is in fact a real Sanwa. I guess they must import them from Japan and then export from HK? Anyway, happy with it, glad it is a real Sanwa.

> 3 dayI questioned the origin and authenticity after ordering, was assured these were actually manufactured by Sanwa Denshi. Once they arrived, I was glad to see these are indeed legit Sanwa parts. Great reliable quality as always. Thank you!

> 3 dayI LOVE this thing. I had a phase where I was building fight sticks, and I was recommended Sanwa. This thing feels great. Its nice and springy and clicky in the best possible way. Its infinitely better than the one that came in the Mayflash stick I got used.
