> 3 dayIm a fighting game noob, but I like fidgeting with my controllers. I have the Hori Hayabusa RAP V. First, I tried using a mixbox-like WASD/directional keypad and I didnt like that very much. Then I used a Seimitsu stick, lent to me by a friend. I found a bit too stiff. It worked well but a little too stiff for me. Then this finally came in the mail. I installed it, and I found it to be very similar to the Hayabusa in terms of throw and tightness of the stick. It does sound and feel a whole lot clickier, though. I think I prefer to this the Hayabusa and the Seimitsu.

Greater than one weekI love this joystick, but the main problem with this is theres only one connector on the 5-pin cable, which keeps me from rating it 5 stars because that can be hard to work with, BUT I have figured out how to convert the joystick into a happ-style Joystick. What I did was I popped out the square guard, removed the original sanwa circuitry, attached one zippy micro-switch for each direction, and then put the guard back on. There you go.

> 3 dayI replaced the stick in my Qanba USB fightstick with this one since it is a. higher quality and b. has a 4-way restriction plate. Now I am able to play classic arcade games such as Donkey Kong properly (impossible with modern 8-way sticks). It was a simple swap job; unscrew the back of the qanba device, disconnect the cable from the qanba joystick, unscrew and remove the qanba joystick, replace with the Sanwa, reattach cable, done. No need to re-wire or anything.

> 3 dayReplaced my 1up controller with this one. Night and day performance, money well spent. I also found a wire harness that was plug and play for $2. Took 5 mins to install. All you need is a Phillips screw driver.

> 3 dayThe Sanwa joystick itself is 5/5, but it looks like pink rather than the nice purple in the images on here, so its a little disappointing in that regard.

Greater than one weekRecently made a Retropie setup. Bought a used RAP4 from a guy who said it didnt work well for him. It was OK, but I was planning on upgrading the joystick to this one anyways. This joystick was better, but couldnt perform special moves in Street Fighter 2. Removed the 4-way restrictor plate, and it was marginally better. Figured Id give this product a shot: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VVG936T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Now, I am able to complete SF2 all the way through (with lots of virtual quarters). It is 95% of what the old arcade joysticks felt like. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayBought an authentic Pandora’s Box 6 and the joysticks broke within a couple weeks. Bought this to replace the originals after reading lots of reviews. Install was fairly quick and haven’t had any issues with it at all.
