Seachem Pristine Aquarium Treatment, 500ml (001438)

Cut my nitrates in half after 3 days. Regular cleaning and water changes were going fine for a while but then the nitrates started to creep up on me. Started adding this to the routine and the nitrates went the other direction.

Pristine works well in my freshwater planted tanks. Keeps the muck low to gone! Used for years and this is a staple product for my tanks.

This definitely helps keep the gravel and glass cleaner in my overstocked 75 gal community aquarium. I ran out for a couple of weeks and noticed a huge difference in the cleanliness of my aquarium.

Does not work wasting money

Pristine can be used for new tanks or when you have to change to new media. I would rather use Stress Coat+ but this works very well, too.

This stuff is definitely different from the usual aquarium bacteria you use to cycle a tank. I had a problem in my tank with debris building up in dead zones with less water flow, and growing nasty looking mold. I decided to try this Pristine instead of recirculating pumps or other fixes for dead zones. It really works, and the debris breaks down a lot faster. Now I only have to vacuum every other week to keep the tank looking decent, instead of weekly.

I add this with every water change and it helps to keep my water clear and tank clean.
