Great product! It definitely helps quickly cycle the fish tank, I use it along with Seachem Stability, in a matter of days.

I’m sure this will only help my tanks, but so far I am not noticing any difference. For the record my tanks are well maintained so maybe if you do less cleaning you will notice a difference? Idk. Also I wasn’t paying attention to the description and the bottle was half the size I was expecting, which did not make me feel like it was a great price.

Dont add too much of this stuff or too often. Weekly dosing is too much just add the recommended amount bi-weekly. It can cloud the water, starve the tank of oxygen, and create excess biofilm.

A little pricy but vastly improved the clarity in my 55 gal within 2 days

Id had this product for a while before finally giving it a try. At first, I didnt use it because my tanks water was nice and clear. I just had Pristine on hand just in case. However, when I upgraded my tank I also decided to go to a white sand substrate. My silver dollars were making my white sand not so white anymore. Even just 24 hours after vacuuming the sand, there was what looked like a weeks worth of fish poo. I decided to give Pristine a try and within just maybe 2 or 3 days I noticed a lot of the poo was gone. I still siphon and clean the sand during my weekly water changes. My sand will never be spotless, but this product does really seem to help keep me from obsessively cleaning up after my fish and probably helps keep nitrates low too.

    Perfecto

Seachem’s Pristine uses bioaugmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste, and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. For over three decades, Seachem has been a company rooted in sound science. Our experience in the hobby and educated staff of chemists and biologists are part of the package when you purchase Seachem products. Seachem remains as one of the few surviving independent and privately owned pet care companies. Seachem is owned and operated by hobbyists. All of our employees are hobbyists who maintain aquariums at home and at the office. Seachem itself was started because one such passionate hobbyist - Dr. Leo G. Morin (Founder) - recognized the lack of available solutions to aquarists". . This resulted in Seachem’s very first product: Cupraplex (today known as Cupramine). Over thirty years later Seachem is still approaching old problems in a new way. Seachem’s philosophy is that the knowledgeable hobbyist makes the best customer. This is reflected in solid and reliable customer education and support as well as products proven in science and performance. While Seachem has grown rapidly into a national and international firm, it retains the culture of a small company and is readily available to its customers.
