> 24 hourI just received this today, delivered on scheduled day. It was incredibly easy to assemble and it took me a short amount of time. Easy to see what the previous vacuum was leaving behind. *Pros: light-weight, good suction, swivel head reaches small places easily *Cons: feels cheap, deck is only 11 wide and accessories are pointless, cord is SHORT, dust canister isnt easy to remove I purchased this for a showroom with short church berber carpet that has the occasional dog visit. The suction worked great. Its really just a no frills vacuum, very small. Time will tell, but I wouldnt purchase this again at almost $200, Id try another model.

> 24 hourFirst off, this is a really good vacuum and I would love to have given it 5 stars. The cord length is great. It does stand-up just fine. Pushes nicely over the carpet. Swivels nicely. etc. I had professional floor cleaners come through 4 days ago, and this vacuum still picked up 3 full bins of dog hair and dust. Pros: 1. Great Suction 2. Easy to push around carpet 3. great maneuverability 4. great design the way you can detach the wand and do corners and other hard to reach places quickly and with ease. 5. Long enough cord. 6. If something gets caught in the beater brush, it will turn the brush off automatically, once you pull the shoe lace out, or whatever jammed it, all you have to do is stand the vacuum up fully and then start vacuuming again. 7. It is relatively quiet. 8. Tool holder is pretty handy. 9. Nice hepa filtration. 10. Lift-away technology, so you can easily detach the beater brush and vacuum with just the canister and hose. Though I never really use the much. Its just nice to have :-) Cons: 1. Biggest complaint is the dirt bin. There is a notch that the hair can get caught, which makes it not empty as smoothly as it should. I only had this problem 1 time out of 3 emptys. My old Shark did not have this problem. See picture attached. Circled in red. 2. Its a little heavy for doing stairs (I have a lot of stairs). But its not terribly heavy by any means. 3. Like pretty much every vacuum, managing the cord is a little tricky, you should keep some slack with your pinky or fingers up by the handle, this makes it easier to manage. I also looked at the Bissel Cleanview Swivel. Which is a lot cheaper, and probably about as good, but I have 2 large German Shepherds, and I know what people are complaining about when they says the drive belt starts burning up if something gets stuck in the brush. I have have an older Bissel and had that same exact problems with it. But it still works. I also had an older Bissel that I had to throw out because the belt would fry every time you turned it on. I may get the new Bissel though to keep on a different floor of the house and compare them side-by-side. I also have a Dyson V7 cordless which is good for hardwood floors, tile etc. It does work on stairs and carpet, but nowhere near as good as this Shark (understandably so, the Dyson is just a battery vacuum, and the beater brush spins by air suction, tiny dust bin, totally different type of vacuum). I would recommend the Dyson for quick cleanups though. Take away: This is a great vacuum and has some good features that some of the other vacuums dont. It picks up the hair and dirt very nicely (I have 2 large German Shepherds). Emptying the dirt bin isnt always as smooth and easy as it should be, but I would still recommend it.

> 24 hourYears ago saw prices for vacuum cleaners that were rated high for suction strength and they were all quite pricey. Because I work in a theatre where every shop and each stage always has a wet-dry shopvac as standard equipment, I was well aware of the massive suction power of that type of vacuum. They had suction stronger by exponential factors to any household vacuums and I discovered, that they were MUCH cheaper than those household brands. So I thought I would just think outside the box and for under a hundred bucks, I would get a shopvac instead. Not only would I get spectacular suction with a shopvac, but they also suck up liquids as well, something household vacs dont do. The wet pickup function meant that when I wash the kitchen floor, sucking up the dirty water would be a breeze. So I went with the unconventional and replaced our standard Hoover vacuum with a wet-dry shopvac. Well, after about 5 years, we realize that the cumbersome shop-vac was just to big and difficult to maneuver and it was time to admit it wasnt the best outside the box idea and so I bought this Sharp. I am happy to report, it was a good decision -- biggest plus is that the suction is excellent. Second biggest plus after lugging around a big clunky shopvac that took up an inordinate amount of space in the closet, The Sharp maneuverability is so much better than the shopvac as is its much smaller footprint. All in all, I am happy with the unit. I do see some cons that should be noted: CON 1: This unit comes with a measly 2 attachments. Attachments are the cheapest items of anything related to a vacuum cleaner system. Why Sharp is so stingy about the attachments is incomprehensible. And one of the most common and most needed of all types of attachment is the brush attachment -- no vacuum we have ever owned didnt come with a simple brush attachment. This one did not. You get a crevice tool (a tool that in all the years I have used vacuums, is a tool that I hardly EVER used) and what they call an upholstery tool.. Give me a real BRUSH attachment with bristles (something I consider ESSENTIAL and should be standard with very vacuum package) and not make me have to BUY one as an after-purchase....ugh. 13 Sept 22 -- a bit more about these two attachments; they come with a holder that supposedly attaches to the unit. There is a place on the unit that says ACCESSORY HOLDER. It even has an arrow pointing to a plastic protrusion. Problem is, no way does that accessory holder attach to that little plastic thing. So not only are the two attachments not the ones I want, but now I have no where to put them except to carry them around separately along with the useless holder that they go into...and not very snugly either, btw; they are always falling out of it. CON 2: The capacity of the dirt container is laughably small. I have a two room apartment and I cant get thru vacuuming all the rooms without needing to empty the dirt bin at least once, maybe twice. Now I know I have been spoiled by the massive dirt storage capacity of a shopvac -- you could go a whole year and never have to empty it -- and while I dont expect that kind of capacity from a home vacuum cleaner, even our regular Hoover or our Electrolux bag vacuums didnt require emptying the dirt bags after EACH room; usually the dirt bag only needed changing after maybe a month or two of use. And adding to that, I am not at all a fan of bagless vacuum systems like this Sharp. There is a reason why vacuums used throat-away bags to collect the dirt were so popular and were used for decades. The bag filled up, you took it out of the vacuum and you threw it away. No fuss; no DUST! With the bagless Sharp, every time you empty the dirt bin, there is a plume of dust rises out of the garbage pail you are emptying it into. I guess not a horrendous problem if you do that outside the house, but if you are an apartment dweller as we are, it means you empty the dirt bin inside your apartment. And inevitably at least some of the dust you just vacuumed up is now rising back into your environment. So all the HEPA filters in the world that are in the vacuum cleaner are for naught if dust plumes rise back into the room with every empty...and this vacuum requires LOTS of empties. For me, that is a pretty hefty negative for this unit. Last Con: Bought this a month ago and the extension tube that is supposed to detach from the body of the unit so it becomes wand -- that no longer detaches from the body. There is a red button that you push and it is supposed to unlock the tube, but this piece will no longer remove from the body of the unit. So now it can only be used as a floor vacuum. Was going to give this 3 stars, but now it only gets a 2. Let me live with it a few more months and it may go down to 1 star. If I lived in a house that had stairs and couldnt detach the wand to do the stairs, I know i would send this thing back. ----------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: March 2023 In a few months it will be a year since we purchased this. Magically last month the wand now does detach from the body so it can be use as intended, so I am chalking that up to something that is a one-off problem with my unit and not universal to this product. However, in the other realm of cons I mentioned previously, things have gotten WORSE. The small dirt capacity and emptying the dirt canister are even more annoying than I thought they would be at first. The canister is not a simple open container like I first thought -- no, it is multiple construction with a center cylinder piece that constrains the space. As dust and debris pile up in the container, solid clumps of dirt and debris get wedged in between the two plastic parts. To empty his thing, you would think, just open it and turn it over and gravity would just let all the dirt fall out. Oh contraire mon frère -- the big clumps of dirt wont just fall out, you have to get some kind of long tool (I use a long handle of a wooden spoon) to work in the canister to dislodge the jammed lumps of debris, while with every movement of that canister, plumes of dust are rising in your face. I can assure you, this is no cleaning day picnic...more like cleaning day hell. I really dont know how long I am going to stick with this product before I get so frustrated that I just give it away and get a vacuum that has a traditional disposable bag to catch the dirt. If you live in a place where you can empty the dirt canister outside, then you can keep this at two stars as this product may work for you and since we all have a supply of face masks nowadays, be sure to wear one along with a hat to cover your hair and old work cloths because dirt clouds are going to get all over you each time you need to empty the dirt canister...which will be MANY times. If you live in an apartment, then I drop this rating to one star and a Not Recommended.

> 24 hourI needed a good vacuum to pick up pet (cat) hair. I have been using a fairly expensive Simplicity vacuum cleaner but I didnt think it was picking up all the pet fur. After reading reviews, I chose this Shark, I am so surprised how great this works. It really does a great job collecting cat fur in my carpets. I highly recommend

> 24 hourI have it four stars because it is absolutely crazy I cant find manufacturer attachments to this. It comes with two fairly worthless attachments. I went to the official Shark site and they have none for this machine. Really!?! Had to order a generic set with an adaptor that is next to useless. The good part is that it works really well on the rugs. I had to wonder after I vacuumed all my rugs if I had ever vacuumed. Unbelievable what came up. It might be a bit heavy for those on the weak side. The lift away function is fine. The hose is a bit short so that helps. Seems like the cord is on the short side as well, at least compared to my previous vacuumed. Overall, good, except for the attachment aspect. Thats idiotic.

> 24 hourI am a huge fan of Shark vacuums. I also have a very expensive Miele canister vac, and I have to say the Shark is easier to use and has just as good (if not better) suction as the expensive Miele. Mieles are also notorious for having short cords, which are a real pain in the neck. I had been using the Shark Navigator NV70 for the last ten years (it was a goldish-tan color), and I loved that vacuum. After 10 years of service, it just stopped sucking one day. I didnt even notice that it had lost suction until I vacuumed my cream, bedroom rug and 5 minutes later I found my long, dark brown hair everywhere. I tried new filters. I washed out the canister. But alas, Shark, know to his friends as Sharkie, was no more. So, I decided to upgrade on my new vacuum to a Shark with the lift away feature. I have been using the Shark NV360 for over a month, and I really love it. Assembly was a breeze, and boy does this thing have a lot of suction. After my first trip around the house, I had to empty the canister twice. The NV360 is a beautiful navy blue color, and it does come with a crevice tool and red, felt lined upholstery tool. I did go ahead and spend a few bucks at the Shark website to get an accessory package with a longer crevice tool and a brush head attachment, which I prefer to the upholstery tool. The lift away feature is easy to use. Sometimes the release buttons/latches that you need to press to release the lift away can be a little tight, and you need to press the button while wiggling the vacuum to get the lift away to release. In comparison to my old Shark NV70, the NV360 is much lighter with a wider vacuum head. The NV70 was built so tough that it felt like a truck could run over it, and it would be fine. The NV360 is lighter which makes chores easier, but you also lose that great, sturdy, feeling that the NV70 had. The NV360 feels a little like a toy vacuum in comparison to the NV70. The NV70 also had a longer cord - maybe 5 feet longer. But, the lift away technology and wider brush head do make up for the shorter cord. My only real complaint is that the NV360 is so light that it can easily fall over. That is a problem when you are trying to reach that last little bit of whatever with the extension wand and then BOOM. The NV360 has its weight near the back of the vacuum, so it tends to fall backward rather than on its side like the NV70. That caused a dent in my coffee table, but now I know that I really have to move the vacuum to a closer outlet when using the attachment wand. Overall, this is a great vacuum with great suction at a fair price. I do miss the sturdy feel of the NV70, but for anyone looking for a lightweight vacuum with excellent suction, this is your solution.

> 24 hourWe have 3 cats and one is a longhaired big boy. This vacuum gets all of his cat hair thats been sitting on our carpeted stairs. Its amazing how much hair was just stuck to our carpet that we couldnt even see because the carpet and the cat fur are grey! The canister is easy to empty and holds a lot. The vacuum is easy to maneuver and swivels well. I didnt think the vacuum was heavy, it seems to be similar in weight to my old Bissell upright. I would buy this again and recommend it to anybody else looking for a good vacuum at a great price.

> 24 hourI have been looking for a heavy duty vacuum cleaner for a while and I have found it. This vacuum cleaner is awesome. I have two dogs and my house gets pretty dusty with dog hair. I used this vacuum cleaner as soon as it was delivered and it picked up one years worth of dust from the carpet that was not picked up by my previous lame vacuum cleaner. Carpets smell so clean after using this vacuum cleaner, I am very happy with the purchase

> 24 hourI was amazed at how much dirt, dust, and hair this picked up from my carpeting! It has really strong suction, and I was also happy with the job it did on hard floors as well. I did keep the brush rollers going on the hard floors because I wasnt worried about any minor marking or scratching of my floors, and I think this helped pick up everything. PRO: Cleans up dirt very well. CON: Not as good as more expensive models. Feels like a cheap, tipsy, toy.

> 24 hourI purchased this vacuum to replace an older, bulkier vacuum that had lost suction. So far this little vacuum has been amazing. When it arrived and I took it out of the box, I was a little apprehensive when I saw how narrow the vacuum was. My first thought was that I was going to have to do so much more work to get my floors clean. The vacuum arrived in several large pieces, so I used the manual to get it all put together. It only took a couple minutes, and was not difficult. After I got it all put together, I read through all the features and how to use them. You can detach the canister from the roller base, in order to clean stairs, or other awkward places. It is definitely helpful on stairs. The one thing I do want to note though, is that my stairs are carpeted, and the detached canister did not sit well on the carpeted stairs, and I had to use my knee to make sure it didnt tip over and tumble down the stairs. There is an upholstery attachment with a roller that spins when attached to wand and vacuum is on. This is good for the stairs as well. There is also a very long, extendible thin wand that is mean to help clean under couches and large furniture. There is also a crevice tool. This vacuum is significantly lighter than my previous vacuum, and pivots and turns incredibly easily. This vacuum also has very powerful suction, and almost makes it seem like it is self propelled. You can also adjust the suction if you are vacuuming a thick carpet, or an area rug, and are trying to keep the vacuum from grabbing onto your carpet. The first time I used this vacuum, it had only been a couple days since i had vacuumed with my old vacuum, but I filled an entire canister just vacuuming my living room and dining room area rugs, and my stairs. The canister is a little smaller than my old vacuum, but if it does a significantly better job, I can handle emptying it a little more frequently. I am very happy with my purchase so far. If you found my review helpful, I would love it if you would click yes.
