I bought this as an upgrade for home vocal recording and Im not disappointed. I have owned many mics and this is by far the best for noise reduction and clarity. I use it with a Scarlet Solo and Logic Pro X and it makes post production simple as theres no hiss to get rid of. Ive been using an SM58 which did a great job but this just has the edge. Its pretty robust too so Im hoping it will last for a fair few years before it needs replacing. As others have said, it is fairly quiet and the gain on the interface is almost up full to get a decent signal but this works fine for now for what I need it for. I might buy a Cloudlifter in future to boost the signal but for simple vocals/VoiceOver purposes it isnt really needed with the equipment Ive got.

So pleased with this purchase. Absolutely crystal clear sound that I’ve been desiring for quite some time. I use this for voice over work. The blue yeti is great for newbs to the industry but if you plan on making a career out of VO work then this is worth the investment. I also use it with focustite interface and Cloudlifter. Great investment.

Hands down, this is the best mic I have used in my journey as a podcaster. Going from USB mics to an XLR mic has been a tremendous upgrade for me. The quality is sharp and clear. My only draw back, is that you have to be fairly close to it, because it is not as sensitive as other mics. I ended up buying a Cloudlifter to go with my setup, and that has amplified this mic perfectly. Good setup-great quality. Very happy.
