Not much I can say that you probably havent already seen or read about this mic. All I can do is reassure you that it is well worth the money. I have had many different styles, types and brands of mics over the years and I can say without question that this is my absolute favorite mic. I use mine for pod casting and voice over recording. I have never used it on instruments so I cant speak to that area of use. There is plenty of information out there about the SM7B, just be sure to read the reviews specifically for what you want to use it for. One thing I strongly recommend is a really good preamp. This mic needs a ton of gain to reach its full potential. I have tried a few different ones but eventually settled on the ART Pro Channel. I also occasionally use a Cludlifter CL1.

This microphone will record your voice better than a human beings ears. Thats all you need to know. Expensive? Sure. But, you cant take the money with you to the grave, boi, so spend away! Record all the delicious audio you can before it all ends and leave a legacy of that smooth, buttery, warm voice entering the ears of millions at a frequency and wavelength their minds simply cannot comprehend.

What more can I say? The Shure SM7B is amazing! Easy to setup, sounds amazing with my Yamaha AG03. Beware though, depending on your setup, you may need a Cloudlifter to give this mic some additional oomph

The mic It is very good also quite, and you should know that it is a mono microphone, which means that when you record, it will record a single channel. You can learn this on your own, and it is worth the money if you are new and looking for something. This is expensive for a reason, but it has advantages. good quality, clear sound, and cons expensive, with limited back control (you can adjust the gain and other such settings on a software) If you need a stand, make sure it can support this heavyweight champion.

The SM7B dynamic microphone has a smooth, flat, wide-range frequency response appropriate for music and speech in all professional audio applications. It features excellent shielding against electromagnetic hum generated by computer monitors, neon lights, and other electrical devices. The SM7B has been updated from earlier models with an improved bracket design that offers greater stability. In addition to its standard windscreen, it also includes the A7WS windscreen for close-talk applications. Popular radio and TV mic features excellent shielding against electromagnetic hum. Plus mounting bracket. Impedance: 150 ohms for connection to microphone inputs rated at 19 to 300 ohms.
