Its a great microphone, however youll need a cloud lighter or a preamp when using it. It can be used out of the box without one but it sounds amazing with one. I hate myself for spending nearly $400 on something that needed an additional $150 piece of equipment for it to work correctly but honestly its the best microphone on the market for podcasters, streamers and video creators. Totally worth it but also so not worth it. I have a blue yeti nano that isnt too far off for sound quality so.... To each their own. If you can afford it, its totally worth it. If youre on a budget you find similar sounding mics for a fraction of the price of this one. Do what works best for your budget and your needs.

Best microphone that I’ve ever used. I use it for streaming and my viewers say I sound better than I did with any previous mic. A bit pricey but worth it!

The mic quality is easily one of the best on the market. This mic does not pick up sound from around me and it doesn’t hear me cough or sneeze so I don’t have to mute myself. My only real beef with this mic is that it does not come with an microphone cable. You need a preamp to use this mic, i use a GOXLR and it works perfectly. If you do not have a decent sound mixer with a preamp do not buy this product.

This is a really great price for the quality you get. BY FAR the best mic Ive found at this price point and I honestly prefer it to most things in the 500-800 dollar range. I dont know if I necessarily agree with some of the reviews saying its the literal best mic to ever exist, but this mic is regularly seen in a lot of professional studios, and for good reason. The fact that its a cardioid dynamic microphone makes it great for recording in untreated environments as well, so if youre working out of a home studio and cant afford to treat your room, this is the mic for you. Just be aware that as mentioned in a lot of other reviews, youll need a preamp or interface with a decent amount of gain.

One word, AMAZING! Highly recommend this, paired it with a GOXLR, you can’t beat this mic, well worth the investment.

I used an EV RE-20 for years at work, and decided to launch my own voiceover and narration endeavor. I gave the Shure a try because I didn’t need to buy a yoke shock mount (it is integrated internally). Whether you pick the Shure or the EV we with experience know that both sound as good as or better than condensers costing many times as much money for spoken word. It is almost entertainment to watch amateurs spend $2,000 on a giant Neumann when this will outperform it for under $500. If you’re like me using a desktop mic pre or small Mackie, etc, I highly recommend using a Cloudlifter and quality audio cables with this mic (as well as with the RE-20).

Before I had a Razer Seiren Elite, it sounded good but always had problems with clipping and background noise. The same with the Blue Yeti, so much background Noise, even with low volume.
