My favourite mic to date, like it better then my yeti, snowball or atr 2100 though a bit of a pricey investment. I feel it was well worth it, pairs incredibly well with the rode psa1 boom arm.

I use this microphone for recording music in a small home-studio. Before this mic, I had two other options: the trusty and very affordable Shure sm58 (about $100, and its basically a 57 with a pop screen) and a cheap condenser mic I got for about $80-$100 (cant remember the manufacturer. At best, its somewhat decent for recording vocals.).

I have had many Mics in the past and the SM7B is my favorite. Combine this with a preamp and it is truly a great Legendary Microphone.

I worked in radio for years and the Shure SM7B has always been a broadcast standard. Ive had mine for almost 20 years and recently purchased a second one. This mic is from the Shure Amazon store and everything is exactly as it should be. Its still an industry standard after many years. There are other, far more expensive microphones but this Shure will be everything that you need. The right microphone makes a huge difference for your podcasts, video, performances, or voiceover. The SM7B is it.
