SimpliSafe 105dB Auxiliary Siren - Compatible with Gen 3 Home Security System

We have a SimpliSafe system, but it is so hard to hear the base on one end of the house, because the only logical place to put the base is on the other end of the house. We bought this, hoping it would be loud enough to hear through closed doors and a fan. I wasnt sure how this would sound. I assumed it was similar to the SimpliSafe base. Boy, was I wrong! It sounds like a blaring alarm. It definitely grabs your attention. Even my partially deaf father can hear the alarm. And if my neighbor is awake, she can hear it, too. It does make a different sounds than the base, and is so much louder that it drowns out the base alarm. But punching in your keycode on the keypad instantly stops both alarms. Was definitely worth purchasing.

Alarm will scare any person who activates it. The sound its almost the double as the original base alarm. If your house is small, place it in a good outdoor hidden place.

The siren is pretty loud to begin with. I set it to high and can hear the thing on the second floor of my house with the door closed. My base station was set up in the basement as I wanted to hear the door chime in case my daughter got out while I was working. This meant we couldnt hear the door chime upstairs. This siren will chime with the doors and also beeps the count down when arming. No voice though but serves its purpose well.

Easy to install. If any door sensor is triggered the alarm starts a audible countdown. If the alarm is not deactivated the alarm sounds and police are notified. I have two alarms -one on the 1st fl and one on the 2nd fl. Nice product-gives you some peace of mind with all of crime going on.

My sister accidentally set off my alarm the other day. The base unit alarm definitely isn’t loud enough to scare someone away. It took me a minute to figure out what the beeping was. It didn’t even occur to me that it was an alarm. That occurrence prompted me to buy this auxiliary alarm. I tested it, and it is extremely loud. This will send the bad guys straight back out the door.

This siren performed way better than I had anticipated. It comes with sticky tape to install but this siren is a little heavy and it fell off in the middle of the night making a crashing sound which freaked us out, so when installing make sure you screw it into the wall and not use the sticky tape

We added this siren to our existing Simplisafe system. We were looking for a louder alarm than the sound that comes from the base station. This alarm will not disappoint! We are using it indoors but the alarm is rated for outdoor use as well. Also, right out of the box the new siren syncd up with the existing system without a problem.

I just bought and received this siren for SimpliSafe. Installing it was a breeze like a SimpliSafe products. However, the siren did not work properly. So I called SimpliSafe and spent the next half hour trying to solve the problem. They could not solve the problem so instead of returning it back to Amazon, they said they will send me a replacement product that I will have to exchange and send back the defective one. So buyers beware of this issue as this is the second time it has happen. Instead of buying it on Amazon, buy it from SimpliSafe instead. You may not be getting a brand new or refurbished one instead. Lessons be learned……
