Greater than one weekAfter trying with two other kind, I finally came across these ones and violá, they worked like a charm. The only this I wish is that they wont cut off the power completely off the appliance/socket. I tried it with one of my cable boxes, and unfortunately because it shuts it down completely when it turn off, every time I turn it on it goes through the set up process. No big thing, but it would have been nice to be able to plug both the TV and the box in one and have them box turn on simultaneously instead of having to give Alexa two commands. Maybe I been lazy, but isnt that the reason that we are automating our lives? So we dont have to work hard? LOL. They are really good for independent items like, fans, humidifiers, coffee makers, lights, etc. If you want to control you kids video game usage (and they dont know you are using a smart plug), this will be perfect because you can set it up to shut down for specific times. This wont work if they just unplug the little gadget and plug their machine straight on the wall socket, thou. LOL. Great buy

> 3 dayThey worked, the only downside is - I changed my password to my wifi router, which caused me to have to individually reset every plug. 5 starts if they had a simple integration for moments like that.

> 3 dayworks great till you loose power or unplug it. then it will switch some of yours settings off/on and break your schedule.

> 3 dayAfter i figured out how to connect to phone it was simple to turn on and off, but setting the schedule is not. I had it set and it was working but it randomly shuts off. Multiple times now i check to see if it’s on/off and it’s not. Today both on and off are shut off. Not understanding that. Update schedule still not working but do like control on my phone.

Greater than one weekI give 2 stars, 1 because they came on time & look exactly like the ad & another because they *do* work, HOW-EV-ER, they are CONSTANTLY turning themselves on & off at random hours despite my scheduled time. We recently left the house & came back, my grandmother was SITTING IN THE DARK because the timer failed to come on. This had happened before with the dogs, but theyre dogs, so it wasnt so bad. I have tried deleting & rescheduling them so many times, they still mess themselves up. Im not sure if its under the impression that I am in a different time zone or what because it always seems to be off by 5 hours. Its extremely frustrating. Also, if you want to work them remotely, you must go to your app settings & allow the app to access your data. Good luck, I hope you have less problems with them than I do. They work great as far as connecting them to wifi & using your smart device to control it, especially for a plug in a hard-to-reach spot but I bought them SPECIFICALLY for the schedule/timer function & this just aint it. Update: Im taking away a a star. I did end up enabling location for this app, which is not a permission I like to give to *every* app. This seemed to help, but Im still having issues with them randomly turning on & off. Last night, we fell asleep on the couch while watching a movie & AT TWO A.M., all 4 devices randomly turned on & woke us up. I thought there was a power surge but usually it affects the microwave & in this instance, it did not, so I have no idea. This isnt the first time theyve come on in the middle of the night. I woke up in our room & could see light coming from under the door & thats because the living room had magically turned itself on. Not only does this disrupt my sleep, stress me out, & waste electricity, one of the outlets is hooked to to a camera & despite technology, I dont believe its 100% fool-prrof from being hacked so I dont like it on more than necessary (which is why I bought the plugs). Lastly, these plugs dont seem to turn themselves on according to schedule whenever Im not home & on the same wifi. If I want the schedule to work so that the dogs arent sitting in the dark, Im going to need to SET A REMINDER ALARM to go to the app & manually turn them on, OR just buy another timer that *actually* works.

> 3 dayEl problema es que no se puede conectar al internet a menos que tengas un router solo para ésto.

Greater than one weekMy current view: after posting my prior review I was contacted by the manufacturer who promised they had fixed the issue I described below. They sent me a free shipment of replacement outlet plugs and they worked exactly as they were supposed to. Very happy with their effort to correct the problem. Prior review: I own several other brands of these and they are all pretty much the same. HOWEVER, these will not connect to my wifi - yes, Im trying to connect to 2.4ghz. Yes, I have followed the instructions TO THE LETTER. Yep, I have their most recent App. They will not connect. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for wifi plugs. There are many good brands - just not these. The box says 2 year warrantee - good luck finding anyone to honor it.
