> 3 dayIts stainless steel which means it will take a long time before rusting, if ever. Where the stainless steel inserts into the wooden handle its very sturdy. With the teeth on both sides makes for cutting into hard soil easier than a regular gardening spade. The tool is ambidextrous. Its made to be used by both right and left handed people. As a gift, Id be sure to give it to an avid gardener, someone that would appreciate the uniqueness of this tool.

> 3 dayThe most indispensable garden tool ever made. Hunted high and low for a new replacement for my old one wearing out. Giving one as a gift to my son.

> 3 dayI love this and that opinion comes from owning one of these for close to 20 years. I had one the exact one that had the cushioned handle and loved it. But after nearly 20 years the cushioned material had become gummy-- not fun. I had planned to wrap it somehow but took it to use somewhere else and lost it somehow. So I chose to replace it with the wooden handle to avoid that in the future. Being stainless it holds up perfectly- even when I leave it out in the SoCal elements. I love how much the scoop portion holds whether digging for planting or scooping some soil to add to a container. I also love the jagged edge which Ive used to cut things such as thin stems and even bags of soil (it makes a rough cut but still gets me in the bag without scissors). I wholeheartedly recommend this garden tool. Obviously, I didnt hesitate to buy another one.

> 3 dayThis is the absolute best little hand shovel!! This is the second one I have purchased because I sometimes misplace the one I have and I wouldn’t use anything else. The original one I have is about 20 years old and just as sturdy as the day I bought it! This has a great curve to it and I love the aerated edges to cut thru small roots when digging.

18-04-2025I bought 2 of these for gifts as I have owned one for many years. It does the job of several tools and is particularly good in a bag of densely packed compost, making a drill for seed sowing and cutting weeds like mares tail underground to mention just a few of it’s uses.
