> 24 hourAfter four months two of the four units stopped working. They still function you can turn them on and off with the button however they will not connect to Alexa app, which makes them useless to me. (Edit) All 4 have stopped working now. Have replaced with Govee outlets that function just fine. This is a horrible product !! Stay away.

> 24 hourI bought this so as display real-time power consumption. I recently purchased an electric portable heater and wanted to see real-time power consumption. Didnt happen. The picture Ive uploaded, shows the display with a 1000 watt (advertised power consumption) heater plugged in and running for 5-10 minutes. I purchased 4 of these. Tried another unit, same story. )-;

> 24 hourFlash these switches with the OpenSource Tasmota firmware to unlock the full potential of these switches. With Tasmota, there is no cloud dependency, no phoning home, no privacy risk. You can use this switch as a standalone device by accessing the Tasmota web page. Alternatively, Tasmota on this switch provides full integration with MQTT for use with HomeAssistant or OpenHab. I have five of those switches with Tasmota installed and they are bulletproof. The remote control of the switch is great, but the real-time power monitoring is just awesome. I use these switches to monitor amperage and wattage draw of 3D printers. Plus, these are great for any hardware you wish to remote switch.

> 24 hourI first bought SwitchBot smart plugs thinking they would work with the Core SwitchBot integration with Home-Assistant, extremely disappointed in not only the broken integration, but also the terms of service from a company that has had a lot of recent YouTube praise. Unfortunately, it just shows the known ignorance and total abandonment of values in the name of convenience... Enter HACS and Sonoff; While Sonoff is also doing some data mining it is possible to run the S31 Smart Plugs completely local without the app or the cloud using HACS on Home-Assistant with no fooling with jumpers or fussing with flashing. Several recent HA forum posts and YouTube videos cover the procedure, just look for the most current so you can follow along more easily since the recent changes. Also, Stay away from the S40 if you use Home-Assistant. S31 is the way to go. Deducted a star for the shady terms of service that are getting all too common with IoT products. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars.

> 24 hourI bought this as an inexpensive way to meter how much amperage my computer desk pulled at peak load, as well as other things like AC units, coffee machines, etc. it faithfully shows amps and watts of the load. The problem is it’s a “smart” switch which you can toggle on or off, or set automated “scenes”. In addition it has “inching” auto triggers. Even with nothing defined for the automated toggles the logs still show “device triggered” or “scene triggered” at seeming random intervals, which is really inconvenient if you’re using it at the time. Latest firmware did not fix this behavior. I’d recommend only using for short duration active metering and then removing from your path.

> 24 hourThe Android application itself it quite underdeveloped. It has basic features like a timer, usage graphing, and naming conventions, but lacks any sort of optimization.

> 24 hourI used tiny spring clips on a USB cable to connect to the board inside and flash Tasmota. Worked great! Unlike the KMC 30153 where they changed the underlying SOC chip (so you never know what youre getting), these have real Espressif 8266 chips in them.

> 24 hourBn Link used to sell these with a power meter but I contacted them and they don’t offer the meter option anymore because of a chip shortage. These are a couple bucks more but the power meter is the feature I really like.

> 24 hourGreat smart switch from an excellent company. These are rated at 15 amps and they monitor power usage also. Fully compatible with Alexa. And have an excellent control application. If youre into Home Assistant you can easily flash these with Tasmota and goto the next level. Highly rated A+
