> 3 dayI bought this device pack to monitor my servers power consumption. I got the package today. The setup was a bit confusing between Quick Pairing Mode and the Compatibility Mode. Lesson learned: Make sure your smart phone is pre-connected to 2.4 GHZ WiFi network. Otherwise quick pairing will not work. Once configured there is not much you need to do, other than naming the device and your room(s.) Right off the bat I have two complaints: 1. The big off switch on the App turns off the device with no prompt. A prompt, are you sure, would be very nice. 2. WiFi network requirement is for 2.4 GHZ. Granted, I do not need the speed but modern 5 GHz routers provide a better range as well. Other than that, for now, I like the device. I can monitor the power consumption in real time, which is what I was looking to do.

> 3 dayThe internet at my house is unreliable. Days of outages in March 2023. So counting on cloud based tools is a non-starter. These plugs are easy to open up, reflash with Tasmota software, and control through a website hosted on each plug, or via an MQTT server. Im happy with the plug hardware being easy to update, and happy with the new software.

> 3 dayI installed this product on an in-the-water boat to monitor and control a 1500W heater, using the Smart Life app. The initial configuration was a bit difficult, but it worked through the manual pairing procedure. A seemingly unlimited number of on/off cycles can be programmed by the day of week and hour, or control manually via the app. It relays wattage in use and current voltage at the plug (whether on or off). It will report total kW-hrs used over a month and cost if you input cost/kW-hr. I have several wifid temperature modules mounted in the approximate same location on the boat as well and have some connectivity difficulties with them. There has been no connectivity issues with this plug/adapter and it has been very reliable.

Greater than one weekI have one I use in conjuction with a motion detector to turn a light on when I enter my bedroom and it works flawlessly. As at the time I did not have a zigbee gateway, I bought the wiwfi version. I have no complaints at all.

> 3 dayThese are great plugs that provide a great deal of power usage info, are easily flashed to Tasmota (for local home automation), and are well manufactured. Have at least 8 in the house now, purchased over many years, and they keep working great.

> 3 dayDisappointed. It wouldnt connect to phone. Based on what I read in email, it will only work if you use alexa or google or other platforms. I didnt want any platform. I just wanted it connected to my phone and it wouldnt do it. I spent 3 hrs working on it. Not worth my time. Their are other brands that are more friendly then this crap.

> 3 dayI just needed good, wireless devices that allow intelligent, accurate monitoring of electricity consumed by a device. This device was the epitome of disappointment. During the WiFi setup (2.4 GHz), it insists on getting your LOCATION INFORMATION. No thanks. AND you have to create an account to use them. NO THANKS AGAIN. No iPad specific app, only iPhone. Three strikes. Done. No more. For example… To pair, the blue LED blinks 2 dots and 1 dash. Then press the button for 5 seconds and it changes to… 2 dots and a dash… AGAIN. This is 2022, I have no need to be proficient in Morse Code. These things are not even heavy enough to be used for paperweights. I just wasted $20. You have been warned.

> 3 dayI bought a single S31 to figure which of my appliances was the most power-draining. What I did is simply use the single S31 power plug to monitor each suspect appliance for 2-3 days. The Android App has a kWh power consumption meter which you can start and stop. I was able to find out that my refrigerator was actually the culprit, using about 2kWh a day. I would have given the S31 a 5-star but for the fact that the software app is not the most intuitive to use. But it does the job and the S31 plug itself is only $15.
