> 3 dayI bought a 4 pack of the S40 plugs and had 2 dead out-of-the-box. The other 2 paired up, and worked for just over 24 hours. I woke up to find these 2 flashing my lamps on and off. The app showed them both off-line. Button pressing on the plugs had no effect. When I unplugged them, the button lights would not light up when plugged back into the wall socket. I tried contacting the manufacturer, received a fairly quick response, and was advised to return them to Amazon. I did, and requested a replacement. I received the replacement, and had 1 die within 6 hours. The other 3 lasted almost 48 hours. This morning I found my lamps flashing on and off again. I am sending these back and can not recommend these.

> 3 dayEstos enchufes solo funcionan a máximo 2 metros del router. Más allá no tomarán señal de wifi. Tengo unos más baratos y toman señal hasta 50 metros, una decepción los eschufes sonoff, literalmente solo funcionan al lado del router.

> 3 dayMy wifi auto switches your devices between 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so I cant use this switch unless I dedicate a an old phone. I put my phone on the 2.4GHz band to install it and it worked. However, I cant leave my phone on that band. When I switched back, I couldnt connect to the device. I have other smart devices that require 2.4GHz signal in the house but not on your phone. Bad software design.

> 3 dayI like my smart devices not relying on external servers. So if the device is WiFi then I make sure I can flash it with tasmota. These are easy to disassemble and the flashing is not too difficult. Unfortunately the tax, RD, find, and vc are not pass through and are only pads but it is not too difficult to solder pigtails for flashing. I would prefer if the plug receptacle was on the side instead of the front.

> 3 dayThis has been our favorite smart plug for quite some time. And now being UL listed just edges it up a little higher. Two of the plugs fit fine in the same socket without forcing anything. If you want to manually flash them with Tasmota or some other open source firmware, the WiFi PCB on them is the same as it was previously so all the profiles/templates will work just fine. The product is still held together with screws and no glue so it goes back together super easy.

Greater than one weekI love these smart plugs, it’s very affordable and it really works. You can monitor all your appliances for power consumption and integrate in home automation with any kind of platform - alexa or google to name a few.

> 3 dayBest thing about this device is the ability to reflash with Tasmota firmware which then works with both HomeAssistant and MQTT based home control and automation systems. You can utilize one system for power monitoring and the other for control once the unit has been flashed. Very good support by the community for using the part.

> 3 dayWouldn’t connect in normal mode. Only compatible mode. Worked but kinda screwy on updating. Other ones I’ve seen update quick every couple seconds. Now it’s stuck showing the same wattage all day even with no devices plugged in. Guess I’ll update on the replacement if it works or not.

> 3 dayI have a dozen of these to monitor and control roof heaters remotely. Also use to automatically turn off space heaters.
