I was excited to get this because of the positive reviews but on day 1 the ants were all over his bowl.

This bowl does work preventing ants from going into the food. I see them around the bowl but they dont get in the food. They turn back before getting into the water. I have cats outside and this is so helpful.

I have been battling sugar ants for over a year, trying to keep them out of my indoor cats dry food. I tried two dishes that had moats for water, and technically they worked but as soon as some food was dropped in the moat theyd discover that bridge, so I had to constantly keep up with it. Then I devised my own moat-type feeding station, but still had to keep a too frequent eye on it and eventually, they found a way to the food anyway. Ive been using this try for over a month now and it hasnt failed me! I dont know if it would work with larger ants, but the tiny sugar ants are truly stumped! When an occasional bit of food ends up on the floor next to it, they still have their fun, but Ive noticed that they dont seem to check for food in that area as often as they used to. Im a 70-yr old train wreck and this product has really lowered my stress level! :o)

We took a chance and purchased this item not really believing it would work, but it really does!!! We are amazed that the outside ants don’t even attempt to get to the food bowl! We like it so much we are buying another for the water dish!!
