Steadyrack Bike Rack - Wall Mounted Bike Storage Solution

> 24 hourOnce properly mounted on the wall, it is very easy to slide the bike in to it, regardless of weight. No lifting. Many other bike stands/ hangers require a person to lift the bike on to the hooks, which could be a problem. Very clever and sturdy design.

> 24 hourWe live in a small condo and have 2 bikes. They are folding bikes which makes it a bit more challenging. Storing them was always awkward at best before I found these racks. We used all sorts of other rack systems before. These ones are easy to install. They are SO practical. Very well designed. Super easy to put a bike in and out, no matter what kind of bike. They tuck out of the way when not in use. And they even rotate so I can store stuff between the bikes! I almost never rate things 5 stars but these racks have earned it!

> 24 hourIts hard to impress me and bike storage has frustrated me for years. Ive been through a few moderately expensive options. Having moved recently I was back in the market to try and solve the bike storage issue for our five bicycles, still wanting better than the old system I took with me. I wanted relatively easy installation. I wanted good quality. I wanted something that got the bicycles out of the way. I wanted a system that my wife and kids would actually use (this was the biggest problem). I have tried enough systems that didnt work (or not very well) so was finally willing to spend more because I was at the point of the bikes going or me going. If this is you, look no further. I bought five of these babies so quite a bill but I have no regrets five days in. This solves all these issues and now seems a bargain. Im giving my old reasonably well reviewed zero gravity style (bar on wall, foot on floor, four arms sticking out to hold two bicycles) to charity. Its rare for me to give such a glowing review. Ill update if my happiness level deteriorates since Im posting at five day mark. But, in those five days Ive only gotten happier. A few very minor nits: 1) The little covers for the bolts dont snap on/off very easily. Those could be better; 2) There are no instructions for how to space them for multiple bicycles. They should give some instruction (Others online wrote about 16 based on stud distance but happier at 32 despite all the space that takes up horizontally. My space allowed 22 spacing so I added studs to mount to which took more work but it works well at 22. I dont think 16 would work well and 32 is just too far apart. 24 probably the sweet spot); 3) The instructions are in metric so takes a little conversion (I found that mounting the bicycles so that the back tire is about 2 off the floor when hanging in the rack)

> 24 hourI installed these in our old garage and loved them so much, I took them when we moved! They even hang “hard to hang” Townie Electra cruiser type bikes. They’re sturdy, and we’ve had our bikes hanging within a couple feet of many exotic cars (for over 2 years now). To Install: I attached 1x4’s to the drywall in our garage. (I used a stud finder and secured them, with my own screws, to the studs beneath the drywall.) Then I used the included-bolts and secured those into the 1x4’s. This allowed me to hang the bikes where I wanted them… and didn’t restrict me to hanging them directly over the studs. Note: I’m a 31 year old woman with basic knowledge of tools/drills/levels/etc so anyone should be able to do this.

> 24 hourThis product was perfect for me. Obviously a hook in the ceiling is much cheaper, but buying 6 of these for my whole family is worth the house tour when I show guests my garage. I saved money by buying the used option, the racks came in perfect condition, only the packaging was marred, which was ideal for me.

> 24 hourVery well made, came with very heavy duty bolts...not sure that is needed unless your bike is made of lead..having said that...rather have too study than too flimsy. Getting the height right is a tad tricky...rear tire must be off the ground...but... not that hard... I mounted to wooden post in my garage, and it works outstanding!! I do wish you could lock it into place...as it does tend to move a bit when loading..but that is minor. Overall, really happy with it, does what I want...although I dont smile when loading my bike like in their videos... :-)

> 24 hourI bought a Fat rack and a Classic rack through Amazon Warehouse. One of the racks shipped without the mounting hardware but I had similar bolts on hand and used those. I contacted the manufacturer via their website and they said they would ship out the hardware to me asap. These racks are fantastic. Loading the bikes into the racks is so easy, and it keeps the bikes out of the way. My fatbike is 30# with 3.8 width summer tires and the bike fits securely. I have 4.5 width winter studded tires that the rack would appear to take but I wont know for sure until I switch tires again. Mounting the rack was fairly easy although I did watch a few YouTube videos first. The brace for the rear wheel is obviously too narrow for the tire to sit in, but it does hold the bike steady when you pivot the rack to the side. I am now looking to buy the MTB version. The rack is expensive but if you can get it on sale it helps the emotional damage. Overall its worth it. Edited 12Jul21 - The 4.5 studded tires do fit - anything larger would not. Still very happy with the purchase

> 24 hourThis rack is amazing and I am glad I purchased it. It is very sturdy and comes with very large bolts, which means it takes a bit of time to mount but once it is up it isnt coming down. Allows me room in my garage to mount the bike and then swing it to the side to get it out of the way. Very cool feature. My one minor negative, the bracket that holds the rear tire from rubbing the wall has tall sides, so when I pivot the bike to the side my deep rim wheels/tire dont sit inside the bracket anymore and end up resting on the top edges. It still keeps the wheel from rubbing the wall, but would like to see a bracket that is not so tall on the sides so the wheel/rim can pivot a little better and stay within the side walls. Highly recommend however!

> 24 hourWe like these racks overall. The install isn’t difficult at all and they make tons of space in my garage. We ordered 8 of these in the fat tire format, however, the bases that came were two different styles. See pictures. The ‘U’ shape is way better than the ‘V’ shape and would like the company to send us the correct ‘U’ shaped ones.

> 24 hourI purchased this for my husband. We installed it on a wall of about 10 inches between a window and a cabinet on the adjacent wall that we occasionally get into in our garage. It saves floor space, we can very easily swing it out of the way to get into the cabinet and it holds his bike securely with no damage to the light weight road bike. We will be purchasing another one or maybe even two to use for our other bikes. I can’t believe how good this works and how secure the bike feels!
