Our garage is already pretty cramped and we needed a good way to store our families bikes… 3 adult bikes, 4 kids bikes… these racks worked out great. It is very helpful to be able to swing them around. This allows us to pull out the bike we need and leave the ones we do not with relative ease.

My bike has fenders so in order to use this I have to lift up the entire bike and place the front wheel and front fender onto the rack. I cant roll the front wheel in as intended. This scratches my front fender. For bikes without front fenders you would just roll the front wheel onto the rack easily. I like the feature where you can move the entire bike 45 degrees toward the wall while in the rack, which helps with storage space, but this type of bike rack would work better for bikes without fenders. I should have bought a different bike rack. Also the instructions said to lay it out on the floor to measure how high to install - this did not work for me and I had to put several holes in my wall to have it up high enough so my bike did not touch the floor when on the rack.

Fits my Fat E-Bike tires (except*) and I am able to pivot the bike out of the way so I can pull the car into the garage. This bike mount appears to be beefy, so it can hold up my heavy electric mountain bike. I highly recommend following the directions and put those lag bolts into the wall studs directly or suffer the consequences. I used two 1x6 boards mounted into the wall studs on each end, with the bike rack screwed into those boards, using the supplied lag bolts. *(Exception: that plastic pivot piece for the rear tire, ahem, does NOT fit a fat tire. It’s not even close. See pic. I don’t know what the manufacturer was thinking by including that obviously narrow rear pivot mount. I didn’t bother to install it since it’s worthless.). I gave this mount 4 stars because of that narrow rear tire pivot piece. That plastic piece is a major disappointment for what appears to be an otherwise great product.

Once properly mounted on the wall, it is very easy to slide the bike in to it, regardless of weight. No lifting. Many other bike stands/ hangers require a person to lift the bike on to the hooks, which could be a problem. Very clever and sturdy design.

I dont usually bother leaving reviews, but I really appreciate good engineering. Weve been trying for years to find a decent bike storage solution. We got 4 racks and mounted on every other stud in the garage. Directions were clear. The only thing missing was drill bit size (1/4 if youre going into a stud). The first one took about 40 minutes to figure out. the rest took about 10 minutes apiece. Its easy to lift bikes on and off the lift, and the mount feels very sturdy. Bikes are off the floor and for the first time in a decade I can walk to the garage door without tripping. Happy customer.

I was hesitant at first by the price because I needed 2. But after the easy install and ease of use, I couldn’t be more than happy to recommend this to everyone that wants a vertical rack that also saves space. Just do it, pull the trigger and buy this rack, you won’t regret it.

We recently moved into a new home, and I was looking for a way to efficiently store our familys six bicycles and get them off the garage floor. I spent several weeks reviewing the different systems out there but was surprised to find that not one of the typical racks or suspension systems fit in a way I wanted. On a lark, my wife googled bike storage systems or some such title and ran across a picture of this system. We dug into it further and were initially quite interested. But, never having seen or heard of it, I was a little skeptical. We kept researching, however, and found this product on Amazon. (Note: it did not come up in a SINGLE search of bike storage systems I put into the Amazon search window. When we found an article about it online, we clicked on a link to where one could purchase the product, which took us to Amazon. Subsequent Amazon searches for this product during the our research phase were fruitless unless we went BACK to the article or put the EXACT product name in the search window.) After reading the other reviews and considering the relatively reasonable price, we decided to jump in with both feet and ordered six. I could not have been more pleased! The product construction is solid and the mounting screws are incredibly substantial. (I mounted all of mine into studs to ensure that they were sturdy enough not to pull out of the wall.) In the end, the product works as advertised, and I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED. If faced with the same circumstance again, I would order these again in a heartbeat. (Note: Somewhere along the way, I read a review in which the reviewer stated that s/he mounted the racks on every other stud to allow ample room to articulate all the bikes on the row. I considered placing them closer together to preserve wall space but immediately recognized the wisdom of placing them a bit further apart. It does take up more wall space, but mounting them on an every-other-stud basis maximizes the effectiveness of this rack.)

Measuring the height is somewhat tedious, but ice you have the position, the rest of the installation isn’t too bad. I love how much space these save. Because they swing easily they are easy to put up and down if you mount it at the ideal height for the bike you plan on storing there. Without this I couldn’t reasonably store my bike in my apartment. Definitely be sure to follow the instructions and only install in studs. I had no issues with installation and it’s very sturdy, but a heavy bike held up by drywall would be a bad day.

The idea for this product is sheer genius: a rack that allows you to hang your bike on the wall and pivot it out of the way so that it takes up less room. The SteadyRack holds your bike securely and, unlike many wall hooks, doesnt put any tension on the wheel spokes. The racks sold here are black, as opposed to the grey or yellow models shown in some of the photos. If you have fenders installed on your bike, these racks simply wont work. The description refers to a version that will, but I couldnt find any evidence of its existence... The instructions make installing a single rack relatively painless. Unfortunately, they provide no guidance on how to space the racks when installing more than one. On a wall that has studs spaced 16 apart, it can be difficult to place a rack on every stud unless the handlebars are narrow (think: road racing bikes) or the racks are placed so that the handlebars are at different heights. If you have the space, placing racks on every other stud (i.e. 32 apart) is probably the way to go. The only real downside to this product, and the reason for the 4-star rather than 5-star rating, is the price. If you have 3-4 bikes to store, the cost starts to add up fast!

Would have preferred the mtn version take up to a 3.0 tire rather than maxing out at 2.8. Forced me to go up to the fat version, which is wider and does not fold into the wall as tight since the rack contacts the wall sooner. Other than that the system is study and easy(ish) to install.
