I bought this because the 24 length is easier to use on my smaller projects. The non-slip material on the bottom makes it great for cutting with a utility knife. I dont know if its perfectly straight, but for my use, it works just fine.

When I received the straightedge it was at bowed at least 1/8. The package appeared ok, so I think this item was manufactured this way. I returned the straightedge and Amazon promptly credited my account.

Bought to use on the edge of my projects, cant measure as markings on opposite side, not what I thought I was purchasing.

I purchased the Swanson non-marring straightedge in order to apply some body-side moldings to my new car. Coupled with some painters tape and a few other basic supplies, the straightedge worked very well with easy-to-read markings, a nice rubber-backed surface that didnt scratch up the car paint, and a nice hanging hole to keep it hanging in a closet when we were ready to put it away.

I have this same straightedge in numerous lengths. It works great as a guide for a circular saw. Its high enough to keep the saw from going over it. And its easy to clamp down in place and it doesnt budge. Perfect!
