Timeless! The same issues that we face today . . . unfortunately! Episode after episode, its like it could be referring to yesterday!

Fourth season is said to be the best. No argument here. Character development is great. Rob Lowe still in cast.

The characters are engaging and the dialogue snappy and smart. Ive enjoyed the entire series of The West Wing more than any other Ive had the experience of watching since MASH.

(No spoilers in review)I cannot say this is the best series of the West Wing. The first series is the best, but this sure is close. Ive seen series 1, 2, 3 and 4 - All are unbelievably great. This is better than series 3, it seems more focused and has some great story ideas. All the characters are up to their usual great standards and with some new ones added.

I have a list of the 10 greatest TV moments which impacted how I look at the world we live in today. Moments include Cronkite`s announcement that President Kennedy was dead, the moon landing, an episode of MASH where Hawkye talked about how young men die, the morning I awoke to my father`s voice saying wake up June they shot that Kennedy guy and how I watched TV at school in between classes, or the night the Vietnam prisioners came home & we saw the soldiers kiss American soil. All great moments that impacted my life and how I look at life now in my older years, but my favorite TV moment happens in the last minute of episode 2, season 4. Listen closely to what Richard Schiff`s character (Toby Ziegler) says about their responsibility for making the right choices - in essence what what we do & say today impacts what happens tomorrow. He may have been talking about a re-election campaign, but I think it depicts our responsibilities as citizens of the world. Do what is hard, what is right so that we leave our world a little better for tomorrow.

This is a quality show however it can get a bit heavy from time to time. I enjoyed the deep characters and deep story however there were times at which it felt that they push the darkness a bit more than necessary. Its is ok to be serious but occasionally we mere humans just need an escape. If you liked the War of the Roses with Michael Douglas then this season is for you. If you like to smile more than over think real life then this season may be a bit much.

It only gets better. Amazing how it resonates in todays political climate. Nothing else like it on TV. Watch it often.
