I bought this for my backyard double 6’ wooden gate on my driveway. The landscapers continue to break the locks I have on the gate, so I opted to try the sliding barn door latch lock. Had it installed a few weeks ago, holding very well. Where I live we occasionally get Highwinds, and was worried the gates would blow open, but so far so good. Very satisfied with the purchase.

This is really well made I love that the latch hook is long! Very nice!

Perfect size for the bathroom barn door and matches the outside handle. It has a little weight to it which is perfect. I love it!

As others have said, this lock is huge, but I really like the look. My only issue was that if the square mounts were hung at the same height, you would have a bit of a gap on this type of door (its on the inside of a bifold door - old laundry area turned (really, really) small office/guest room). That seems resolved by hanging the eye mount a little bit higher than the hook mount (see pic).

Well made and works exactly how I wanted. As a high lock on our front door. Keeps the little ones from undoing the lock and walking outside

I had two challenges. One was to keep the latch of my side gate from hitting and breaking the window next to it. The other was to hold the gate open on those occasions I need both hands to carry stuff through the gate. So I set a short 4x4 post into the ground at the maximum opening width I wanted, then installed this cabin hook to hold the gate open when I need to. The result looks clean, neat and professional (and much more civilized than the half-brick I was using to keep the gate open).
