I reordered this, thinking I get a hook matching the same as ordered in May 2017. This hook was a bit cheaper, and thinner, less sturdy. I think it will do the job, but be cautious using Amazons order again -- you may not get what you expect.

Used it to close two barn doors, love it. It’s heavy duty, well made, and would definitely buy it again.

Heavy duty and nice looking, this hook lock is perfect on our stockade fence and heavy enough to withstand traffic between our front and back yards.

I love this product, I was using a bungee cord to hold my door leading to the garage open before; that was annoying. Found this on amazon, easy to install came with 8 screws... 4 for each part and now I use this latch everyday to bring in groceries or even if i just want to hang out in the living room with the the door to the garage open. Worth the extra cost for quality and something Ill be using everyday. Buy it.

Bought a barn and am using it as a garage. These work well in keeping the barn doors open and look great- especially with the gooseneck lamp I bought. They are smooth and large/hefty enough to hold the barn doors open when it is windy.

Wanted a the look heavy and feel of the hook - spot on
