LIf you are looking for a great quality latch, buy this one. It is solidly made, easy to install and looks great. I install on both sides of my sliding barn door leading into my Man Cave. Have my 2 year Grandson living with me and need the extra protection for safety and to keep him out. Shipping/packaging were great as well. Zero Complaints with this product. Lightning fast shipping. Solid product and super well build. If you are looking for a great latch, buy this latch. Cheaper ones out there but they are just that. Would recommend, buy it. Thanks

These latches are so well made and look amazing on my barn!

This barn door hook is heavy-weight, rustic looking, and perfect. I was afraid that it would be smaller than the photo or in some way wimpy, but it is on the large side and seems very strongly made. It was just what we wanted to secure our barn door to our hallway.

Nice heavy duty product. May be a bit bigger than needed. Am waiting to see if I need to install 8 screws for a latch.

The latch is aesthetically pleasing and easy to install. However, the hook is shaped in such a way that it easily slips out of the staple (the loop) when attempting to open the door, rendering the mechanism useless. I solved the problem but using pliers to force a more prominent curve to the hook. Now it successfully latches and keeps the door shut firmly. Im really pleased with the purchase but cannot give it a rave review since I needed to jerry-rig to get it to function properly.

I thought this was a quality item, ended up sending it back because it wouldn’t work where I wanted it. I would buy again if I needed something like this.

The simple but functional barn latch was delivered on time. It was just what I wanted for my double gate.

Not as pictured. The hook is pointed in the product pictures and in other pictures posted by customers. But the one I received is not pointed, but stubby. Also, the measurements aren’t exact. The squares have to be closer together if you expect to be able to unlatch.
