> 3 dayThey do not cut the hair well when using the tip. My husband had to bend the blade so the blades would touch at the tips and make a cut. They seems to be working now but they are not a precise as I thought they would be. I purchased them for the reviews not the price but I guess I should have paid more. 18 October, 2015...Although the scissors did not seem to be of good quality when I posted this review, the seller got in touch with me and wanted to make the purchase experience better. He sent a complimentary pair of scissors when he personally tested before he sent them. The second pair was perfect. They cut well and are a good buy. I would recommend the product and the sellers service

Greater than one weekmy dog abbey a shih tzu , me and my husband like the tiny trim ball tipped small pet grooming tool , it works great on my dogs face , ears, her paws and on toes and between small places on her body . i used it on my husbands eyebrows too and it works better than any other tool i have tried .he dont jerk away and say be careful anymore .. lol . i dont have to worry about cutting or clipping the dogs skin and my husband lets me keep his eyebrows trimmed . they grow really fast and get long and scraggly looking , it also works on my husbands beard . my neighbor used them on her three toy yorkies too and so i got her a pair plus i gave her the whole grooming kit she sees better than i do and so she does her three yorkies and also grooms my shih tzu . saves a bundle of money on getting them groomed .she and i can keep them all up ourselves .at home each time the groomer did the dogs was 30 each so hers would cost 90.for one trip and mine 30.for one trip so with all the things i bought for grooming it really paid for it self in one trip .

> 3 dayI bought these scissors based on the 4 star review. The scissors are dull and they wont cut the hair. I tried trimming the hair on her feet and on her ears. She is only 7 months old and still roudy so I thought these would be perfect. Not so, had to get the sharp pointed ones out to trim her. Would send them back but the hassle isnt worth the 10.99 I paid for them. 8/13/12: UPDATE Scaredy cut sent me a new pair of scissors. This was totally unexpected. Their customer service is top notch. I didnt even notify them. I was just going to forget it. These scissors are much sharper. I am able to trim the hair on her ears and feet. Because of this, I am rating this at a 4.

> 3 dayI LOVE these scissors! We adopted two Yorkie-Poo puppies & one was in desperate need of some eye hair trimming, but was such a wriggler I was afraid to use standard scissors ANYWHERE near her head. So I logged onto Amazon, did my research & found these tiny scissors with rounded tips. I wondered if theyd really make a difference for my fear factor, but they really did the job easily, neatly, & safely. EVEN on a wiggly-wriggly 3 month old puppy. Now that shes over 6 months old, my wriggler is used to the scissors and doesnt give me any trouble at all. I think it helps that these are quiet when you snip--no real snipping noise like you get with standard barber shears. One of the Yorkie Poos also has hair in her ear canal that grows like Sasquatch, so I use these to trim with confidence--no incidental poking with a sharp tip or mistaken skin nipping. I like using these as opposed to tweezing out the ear hair--less pain/apprehension for the baby & me. The manufacturer is also very kind & obviously cares about his customers--he sent me an email just to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayThe original review (which Ive left intact below) was read by the seller and immediate action was taken. A new set of scissors were sent to me, along with a gift for my trouble. The new set works well so it seems that I got a defective pair initially. The customer service from this company is beyond stellar and I would be pleased to make purchases from them in the future. The non-cutting tips of these scissors are hard to get used to. While a regular scissor will cut all the hair in its path, these dont cut the hair at the end (obviously) so the user needs to open the scissors before moving them. This is not the usual way I scissor so it is hard to remember to do this.

> 3 dayThis scissors works smoothly and safely to cut excess hair of our little hairy hamster and comes in the perfect size, not too small or not too big, to be maneuvered by my preteen and myself. We are very happy with this purchase:-)

> 3 dayThe rounded tip is NOT FINISHED SANDED or rounded edges. It literally cuts anything it makes contact with. This is SO DANGEROUS especially if you are working near the eyes. It makes me angry that someone would sell something that in the first place was purchased so one could go near areas such as the animals eyes or anal area to buy something trust in the production and its razor sharp doing the OPPOSITE of whats intended. I wish I could magnify the tip where even my eye shows the area has been SHARPENED ..unbelievably wrong!

18-11-2024I very much appreciated this product, particularly the sharp, but safe ends of the scissors. I used on my puppy and would not have been able to trim him up due to his super puppy behavior. Again, excellent product!

> 3 dayThese Scaredy Cut 4.5-inch pet-trimming scissors work just fine unless your thumb is too big, which mine is, and I dont have particularly large thumbs for an adult male. The two identical, oval-shaped finger holes, one or the other of which I need to put my thumb into, measure 16.8 millimeters in width and 19.7 mm in height according to my several caliper-assisted measurements. I can get only about 10 millimeters of my thumb through the hole, whereas if I grab the nearest surgery-grade medical instrument, a hemostat made for adults I happen to have lying around that has holes of the same shape but a height of 23.3 mm and a width of 19 mm, my thumb naturally sticks through about 21 mm, which is over twice as far. Those 11 millimeters are the difference between clumsy and coordinated, between getting the angle a little wrong and having to adapt to it on the one hand (ha), and, on the other hand (ha ha), getting it just right and not having to think about it. If you think about it, it is true that you also dont want the finger holes too large in either dimension either, because then you lose control of the precise angles and distances over which you want to maintain such precise control, especially when, for example, youre trimming around your koalas eyes or your giraffes stalks. You want the finger holes to be shaped and sized just right, so they not only close but also open and merely hold still just as you expect, without your having to adjust for them or even having to think about them. Theres a reason scissor-type medical instruments such as hemostats and iris scissors and even micro dissecting scissors -- whose pivot-to-tip length can be nearly 3 times shorter than the 4.5-inch Tiny Trims 42.36 millimeters -- still all have the same size finger holes. The reason is that over the last couple centuries people who design these instruments have figured out through gradual trial and error the best dimensions for the finger holes. Theyve all got it just right, and theres little room (ha ha ha) for improvement, i.e., any change from the standard is open to question. The designers of this product decided that all those centuries of experimentation and improvement were a little bit wrong and went with a smaller size, and for this I subtract 1 star. If I could subtract only 51% of a star I would. Perhaps theres a reason for the small opening that I cant figure out. Children have smaller fingers than adults, but obviously thats not the reason the finger holes are so small. Females have smaller fingers than males, but surely thats not the reason the finger holes are so small. As I say, I cant figure out this seemingly poor design choice (but then again I am not an expert on scissor-type finger-hole dimensions). But as I also say, otherwise these scissors are just what I wanted, which is why they rate 449 out of 500 stars. Also, can anyone confirm that it matters whether the serrated blade or the smooth blade is the one closer to the scalp? Does it make a difference, and if so which is better? Thanks.

Greater than one weeksadly, i expected more for $11 - theyre not very comfortable to hold, and they are not very sharp. they are blunt and sharper than the rubold scissors i have, but this does not get through the eye crusties of my little poodles and i find myself having the hair just slide in between the blades and i have to try to cut multiple times. the best scissors i have are the ones that came free with my wahl grooming razor - imagine that. i really LOVE the concept of the comb/scissor combo, because little paparazzi HATES the razor and gets bitey - but he doesnt mind the scissor as much. its just really difficult to hold him, the comb, and the scissor at the same time. brb he knows im talking about grooming him so i think hes peeing on the couch in protest
