Recently bought an iPad that uses USB C connectors. I charge my devices mainly at two locations in the house. (Note: five outlets already have USB A ports.) Forrunately, one multiple adapter I purchased from Amazon that is under the couch already had 2 USB A and 1 USB C ports. So the one I replaced is by the bed. Easy to install (I am a 75 year-old grandmother of 10, admittedly with lots of building/dyi experience) and has very clear directions. Both ports and outlets function perfectly. Loved that the outlet cover included also came in ivory, which matches all our other outlets. PS I am going to put the one I took out in place of a second outlet in the guest bedroom, which does not have USB. A win/win.

Ive been looking for some time for an outlet that supported USB-C/Thunderbolt charging and the additional USB-A port is useful too. I bought and installed 3 - no problems of any kind. Please note that these outlets have 3 terminal screws - 1 for black wire, 1 for white wire and 1 for ground wire. Two of my outlets were setup this way and were easy to replace. My 3rd outlet has 2 black, 2 white and 1 ground wire, so I ran a pigtail connection for the 2 black and 2 white wires to get them into one wire each to connect to the terminal screws. If you have an outlet with this configuration of 2 black, 2 white and 1 ground wire you must also run pigtail connections to the terminal screws or use the small holes in the back for 2 black and 2 white push through wire connections. As I did not use the push through connections at all, I cant comment on that. No issues of any kind getting these outlets to work on first try. I like these enough I may be another one or two in the future to add to my house. One outlet I have connected all the time to an Amazon Echo device and the outlet has worked fine, even allowing a USB charge connection while the Echo is plugged in. Note that these dont support Qualcomm Quick Charge, but I found the charging to be fast enough for my needs. And finally, if you are looking to replace an outlet where the top and bottom plug receptacles are on different circuit breakers, this device wont support that. That kind of setup is a bit unusual and shouldnt be found in most home setups.

I got this for my home office. I like that it comes with both USB-A and USB-C ports. No need for a charging block. It was easy to install. I plan on getting a few more for around the house.

This was a great upgrade and easy to install. If youve installed an outlet before you should have no trouble. Ill probably get a few more of these to upgrade other spots in the house. The instructions are clear and well written.

Charging ports failed after the first power failure in the house. Spent a lot of money for the convenience that didn’t last long.

Simple as an outlet to install. Seems to charge devices well, according to the power advertised.

3-4 years ago, I bought Topgreener 2 USB-A with traditional 3-prong power sockets. Those USB-A ports are still working till today. So when I decided to look for a power socket that comes with both USB-A and USB-C ports, this becomes a natural choice. Reason for wanting a USB-C port is that newer devices are moving towards USB-C interface. I installed and replaced 2 of these. For one of them, it still protruded out a little as the space in that wall outlet is pretty tight. For the other unit, it flushed with the surrounding wall. Tested them and both USB-A and USB-C ports are functional. I have started migrating traditional wall sockets (with no USB ports) towards those that come with USB ports as most devices such as cell phones, tablets, etc are USB interface based.

This was my seventh order of this item over the last several years as I have installed them in multiple locations in my home and in my three children’s homes. This most recent order did not operate properly after installation as the Tamper Resistant feature caused it to be very difficult to fully insert a plug even after multiple attempts. I reached out to the seller by email and they promptly responded with an offer to provide a replacement that they would test before sending. I just received the replacement. What more could you expect? These are very functional receptacles as long as you have room in the outlet box as all of these USB type receptacles are deeper than simple outlets.
