> 3 dayTook these on a trip to NYC. Carried them in my backpack and did not even know they were there. They were big enough to cover me and my bag and I carried one for my wife as well. There was wind and these held up just fine. We did close them during extreme winds, but no umbrella stood a chance there. Good to carry now in my car for my daily use if caught in rain at home.

> 3 dayNot the smallest umbrella you will find but for me it hits that sweet spot between too small to do any real good when open and too large to be practical for anything this side of dueling. Opens to a size large enough to give a decent-sized guy and his bag satisfactory coverage, but can still be tucked in a larger backpack or strapped to the side of messenger bag. Construction is solid, handled windy days well enough, strong seems, smooth mechanisms and thicker fabric.

24-11-2024This umbrella is pretty great for students. Its wide enough when open to shield a person and a backpack, yet small enough when closed to carry around daily. It will most likely fit in the side, water bottle compartment, if you need a place to stash it when its not in use. It has withstood the admittedly mild Californian climate so far, and Im sure it will continue to do so. While its true that the underside may feel a bit damp after using it in the rain, it has never led to actual water droplets leaking in so far. Also, it may be a bit large while walking on the sidewalk though, so be careful not to poke people as you walk by!

Greater than one weekIts definitely not one of those umbrellas you buy from a street vendor, but from Totes, Id expect better. It was probably the second or third time using the umbrella when one of the support arms swung down and hit me in the head. When I inspected it closely, one of those super weak looking eyelets had broken and a portion of the support arm came loose and swung down. I was going to go through the whole return process but learned it takes WEEKS and actually costs you money to ship the FAULTY umbrella back! I just used some pliers and threaded a sturdy paper clip through where the eyelet was, bent down the ends and clipped off the extra. Good as new, no, probably better than new as I fully expect other eyelets to break. So far, after a few months, no more have broken but this thing carries a lifetime warranty. Youd expect it to be made better.

> 3 dayI have now owned 3 of these. None have failed, I just tend to leave them behind in carts and restaurants. I lose one every couple years. This one is quality, and you dont feel as bad when you lose it as there are many that are quite a bit more expensive. I like large umbrellas that collapse smaller, and this one fits the bill.

> 3 dayThis Tote Auto Open - Auto Close Umbrella works really well. I have tried many umbrellas claiming open/close features that only opened. This does both well and has held up for months. It is perfect for one person and good for two people. It can store in a briefcase.

> 3 dayGreat umbrella! I was looking for a compact umbrella that still offered a large coverage area and this one definitely does. I have never accidentally hit the button to close it on me and have never had an issue with wind. It seems very strong as I have had to use it in a few windy situations, but it always holds up well. It easily covers me and my son and is small enough to fit in the back pocket of my car seat. No complaints!
