> 3 dayLasted a season, maybe two, before it broke. Submitted a warranty claim which involves mailing a form with a portion of the umbrella cut off and included. Never received any replacement or correspondence back from Totes after several months. I would not trust their warranty claim, and will look for a more durable umbrella.

> 3 dayOnly used once, during a merely moderate but direction-changing, gusty downtown wind. The moderate, inconsistent wind direction inverted this umbrella several times during the 20 minute walk. Finally, upon getting indoors, I saw three of the eight staves had became significantly bent. Note: My wife and daughter had other brand umbrellas which also inverted but which did not suffer damage to those umbrellas staves. The company gives no exchanges or refunds unless umbrella is returned in perfect condition within 30 days -which have already lapsed for me. Going forward, this umbrella still functions, but its fragile susceptibility to further damage (or complete failure?) from any direction-changing, moderate gusts makes me give future buyers this warning/recommendation: -->Pay more and get a more durable umbrella or be prepared for frequent umbrella inversion and resultant damage to (or complete failure of) the umbrella.

> 3 dayFree umbrella broke after 14 years, had to pony up some money. A site I love for quality products highly recommend 2 umbrellas. I wanted the other one, but was not going to spend $49. So bought this one. Arrived today and I was surprised with how much you get for $23. First off, it is the thickest, sturdiest umbrella I have had in my hands. Next you open it up and the size of the umbrella is extremely suprising for how compact it is. So overall this is a great buy for the money. Only bad part, it was manufactured in China. But it does have lifetime warranty. So buy it online, and it will store the receipt for life. Something happens print the receipt and send it back.

18-11-2024Still works well after 1 yr plus.. Closing is abit not as smooth as before but thats due to accidental misuse by friends & family who dont understand auto close n open. Otherwise, it is a great product, will buy again after current one is retired.

> 3 dayVery nice and sturdy umbrella. I had my first one for many years, but recently lost it somewhere in NYC and couldnt find it, so I order the same one again. The price, compared to the one before, is a bit higher, due to inflation I guess. You can open the umbrella all the way with one button, but you cant fully close it, as the advertisement suggests. Truth is the canopy will fold back but the shaft will not release down. You have to manually bring the shaft down to lock it in place.

> 3 dayI have purchased numerous small portable umbrellas over my life time. Most didnt last more than a year, or inverted during the first heavy wind whichever occurred first. They describe this as a golf size umbrella which just means that the canvass surface is larger than your typical small portable. it is longer than the typical portable (about 14 total from top to bottom of handle) and it weighs more, but it is very well made, handles the wind and provides the kind of rain protection that I was looking for. It wont fit into a purse or small briefcase, but if that is not an issue, this is an excellent umbrella that is worth a look. I expect this umbrella will last a long time and I plan to take it when traveling.
