Greater than one weekI originally purchased the Amazons Smart Plug through a promotion, and later purchased the Treatlife Smart Plug 4 Pack to replace all my old manual timers for our indoor and outdoor Christmas lights. So glad I did!! The Amazon Smart plug works great, easy to set up, but way too expensive. I had some issues setting up the Treatlife smart plugs; however, after I got them online, it was easy to configure my routines or schedules in the Treatlife app. I like the Treatlife app better than the Amazons Alexa app; BUT, in order to use Alexa youre stuck with Amazon. Beyond the initial setup, the Treatlife Smart Plugs are convenient, a great value, a little smaller than Amazon plugs, and they work great with Alexa. Again, the setup could be easier. Ive had some incidents where plugs (lights) turn on beyond routines. (Hey, why is the downstairs light on in the middle of the night!) Also, plugs wont fit inside outside bubble outlet box (I guess its not intended for exterior use). Overall, I highly recommend.

> 3 dayI’m not 100% happy with this product because the directions it comes with advise using a different remote than the Alexa app. I’m not a big fan of juggling remotes. If there’s another solution or explanation, I’d be happy to hear it.

> 3 dayI liked these so much that I ended up getting two four-packs. I especially like that when you cut power to the plug, you can set it to default to on or off, or remember its last setting when power is resumed. This is useful when using the plug on an outlet that already has a mechanical switch attached. So for instance, the bedrooms in my house dont have ceiling lights, but do have light switches that control one outlet in the room. I plug the smart plug into the outlet, and then a lamp into the smart plug. Then I set the smart plug to default to on when power is resumed. Now, Im always able to turn the light on or off using the switch. And when it is on, I can then turn it off using the smart plug. This is nice, because other remotes Ive tried default to off only when power is cut and resumed, which makes it really annoying to use with a mechanical switch.

> 3 dayThese smart plugs are among the most cost-effective I could find online, and they have performed flawless for me so far. Configuration is easy using their free app, which only needs to be done once, whereafter all access to then assigned to Amazons Alexa. Download Treatlifes app, sign up for a free account, follow the easy process to identify the smart plugs and add them to your WiFi network, then name each smart plug. Once thats complete, open your Alexa-enabled device, and follow the instructions to add third party devices. Voice control integration is seamless. From start to finish, it takes about ten minutes to create the account and add to Wifi. Adding subsequent devices only takes a minute or less. One important thing to remember is that these devices need 4G Wifi, not 5G Wifi. If you have both options on your Wifi network, be sure to assign them to the 4G band.

> 3 daySo functionally,. These smart plugs do everything advertised. They have the 15 amp relay , they have timers, they can be in groups, they have an app, and they can connect to google and alexa. But everything is cloud based. When you install the treatlife app, you gotta create a cloud account. No cloud account, noise having them. Once created, you gotta create a home, family, and then rooms. Pairing the device is simple, push the botton, and the app uses bluetooth to find the new device and then you tell it what your wifi password is via the app and it registers to the cloud. All the timer events are in the cloud. In fact, to turn it on, the app contacts the cloud and the device turns on/ in about 5 seconds after the button press. There doesnt seem to be an internal clock for the timer events. So if your internet is down, your timer features are gone. This is why I dont like the cloud only features. We have to assume that treatlife could be gone in a year rendering these smart outlets useless. These outlets look like many other OEM smart plugs. From experience I have also learned that these devices which need a cloud account are disposable in a year, when the cloud policies changes . And do you really want a server in china having control over your appliances. The alexa and google features basically use the local home controller to connect to their cloud to control local devices. Ill keep them, but I am still looking for locally controlled outlets with a timer. These arent them. But they do work, for now.

Greater than one weekUpdated: After my initial review, customer support was awesome and reached out to send me a free replacement for the one that didnt work with the 4 pack I ordered. Awesome customer support and awesome product. Love it! Three out of four aint bad? Bought these to control lamps and other lights in our new house. Three of the four work consistently via Alexa (both voice and schedule) without any issues. The 4th has a mind of its own and turns off and on at random. Weve tried it in several locations controlling different lamps and lights and got tired of it randomly turning off the light when we needed it so we can no longer use it. Three of the four plugs get 5 stars but the one dud made me give this product a 2 star overall...

> 3 dayThis is the first smart plug Ive installed and used. Its actually about 100 times better than any analog or legacy device. We had an old timer function unit with the mechanical dial for the aquarium we have and that thing seems like its always getting out of time with the clocks. This would work perfect for cycling a light on and off during the day. I used it through the Alexa app to power an LED overhead light. I love these things as they are ready to go right out of the box. As soon as I plugged it in, it was in pairing mode ready to connect. Installation took about 2 minutes. The box states 1800W max so if thats a limitation for you, consider something a little more heavy duty. The plug does take up a fair amount of space laterally, but theres plenty of space on a dual plug outlet to run this device and a regular plug in device.
