> 3 dayIve been buying Treatlife switches for my smart home this past year, and Ive been very happy with how they look and operate. The price-point of Treatlife products is hard to beat. I was pleased when I learned that Treatlife was expanding their product range and now has smart plugs. These look better than the Wemo smart plugs Ive had before and operate just as well as them. Plus they cost less. So a win-win-win scenario as far as Im concerned. Why, then, did I give these only four stars? Well, as much as I like Treatlife I want to be honest in my review: Until recently, Treatlife did not have its own app for smart home integration. Instead, they licensed the use of the Smart Life app, which was perfectly fine and worked very well. I had no problems linking the Smart Life app to my Google Home. However, the instructions in the box of these plugs says to use the Treatlife app, which works fine and is nearly identical to the Smart Life app. The problem I ran into is the Treatlife app is NOT listed in the Google Home app for linking. You can continue to use the Smart Life app, which is what I will do. I felt is was necessary to ding one star on my review because of the confusion about the apps and the lack of information in the instructions. Usually Treatlife is good with responses, but in this case I got no response from their support when I asked about this app problem. Other than that, these plugs are great and I will continue to buy them in the furture.

> 3 dayFirst, I would like to say I own almost every switch and plug this company sells and think there great. I am not so happy with these. I have connected three of them to lamps and they keep dropping the Wi-Fi connection and go offline. The Wi-Fi for two of them is in the next room about 30ft away. I hope to find a better solution for my smart lamps. Update! I was contacted by Fiona in customer service, and she worked to resolve this issue. It did take replacing the plugs, but she worked to resolve it. Thank You Fiona for great customer service.

> 3 dayI have been using mechanical lamp timers for years and they never lasted long. Ive tossed a few when they developed an annoying tick. They are not easy to reprogram, bulky. This mini smart plug was the perfect solution if you have a smart phone. Easy to install, easy to program, and instant control no matter where you are. Great purchase. I have 4 of them and a smart switch now. Life is easier.

> 3 daythese plugs look clean and very esthetic, it took me 30 seconds to connect them to my home automation app and Alexa (i have done this before with Treatlife wall switches). my automation app doesnt care what brand the plugs or switches are but I do like Treatlife...they havent disappointed me yet and Ive been using this brand for a while now. cant beat their price! I love the fact they are 15 amps so I can plug just about anything to them, in this case I have my candle wormers plugged in so I can have nice aroma around the house and let me tell you, I dont even have to get my phone to turn them ON or even ask Alexa to do it for me...I simply set up timer on these plugs so they turn ON by them selfs every day and turn OFF at the end of the day! How cool is that!!! I think Ill be getting more of these plugs to plug everything in the house :)

> 3 dayIve bought a few Treatlife light switches already and have been very pleased with them. I am glad to add the 4-pack of smart plugs to my collection of smart-controlled lights. The set up couldnt be any easier. After plugging them in and pressing the power button for 5 seconds, they are ready to pair. I used my existing Smart Home app that has my other devices configured and it recognized the new plug and walked through the set up process which took less than a minute. I easily added On/Off actions for the plugs and added them to Siri, so I can just say Hey Siri, switch 1 on to activate a switch. I didnt test Alexa/Google Home integration as I just let Siri handle things for me. I also added some of them into my on at sunset and off at bedtime automation schedules. These are small enough (2 7/8 wide, 1 7/16 high, 1 3/16 deep) to use just about anywhere. The manual on/off works just fine and is convenient enough to reach, though I mainly plan to use these for home automation. Make sure you have a 2.4 Ghz wifi network (not 5 Ghz) and youll be good to go in no time.

> 3 dayPerfect item based on description. I feel design can be more jazzy than this. Few more upgrades/updates required.

21-11-2024Since I had treat life switches and app, it’s easy to setup the plug. Just remember it works with 2.4ghz only so make sure you use 2.4ghz when adding the plug. Afterward, the app can work from your phone through 2.4 or 5ghz or any Wi-Fi the phone connected to.

> 3 dayPlugs were easy to install and use. But, one of the 4 plugs stopped working just short of a month after setup. And did not start again after reboot.

> 3 daySo functionally,. These smart plugs do everything advertised. They have the 15 amp relay , they have timers, they can be in groups, they have an app, and they can connect to google and alexa. But everything is cloud based. When you install the treatlife app, you gotta create a cloud account. No cloud account, noise having them. Once created, you gotta create a home, family, and then rooms. Pairing the device is simple, push the botton, and the app uses bluetooth to find the new device and then you tell it what your wifi password is via the app and it registers to the cloud. All the timer events are in the cloud. In fact, to turn it on, the app contacts the cloud and the device turns on/ in about 5 seconds after the button press. There doesnt seem to be an internal clock for the timer events. So if your internet is down, your timer features are gone. This is why I dont like the cloud only features. We have to assume that treatlife could be gone in a year rendering these smart outlets useless. These outlets look like many other OEM smart plugs. From experience I have also learned that these devices which need a cloud account are disposable in a year, when the cloud policies changes . And do you really want a server in china having control over your appliances. The alexa and google features basically use the local home controller to connect to their cloud to control local devices. Ill keep them, but I am still looking for locally controlled outlets with a timer. These arent them. But they do work, for now.

> 3 dayWOW! I have never purchased smart products outside of my Amazon Alexas and Google Home Mini, but I have to say that TREATLIFE has knocked this one out of the park! The amount of features that the phone app has is quite astounding. Given the sheer number of products within this category by several different brands, it can be quite daunting when you decide to purchase this type of tech. Rest assured that TREATLIFE has your back. Also...one of the biggest things to look for is a solid phone/tablet app experience when purchasing these smart devices. If the app is trash...the product is a no-go in my book. My experience with TREATLIFEs app has been great! Its lightweight, easy to use, and basic! You want a certain level of complexity when setting up smart devices, but not to the point where it is a chore. This review is for the 4-Pack smart plugs. I have connected 2 of these units so far and they have worked seamlessly! The 1800W 15A power limit is absolutely crucial for people such as myself as I have several high end electronics that can draw anywhere in the neighborhood of 100-700w over long periods of time (ex. My PC featured in the photo). Having peace of mind that I can turn the outlet off thats connected to my UPS (uninterruptible power supply) thats connected to about $5000 in equipment is a life saver! Should I ever go on vacation or need to go out of town, I know I have a solution that will bring piece of mind relating to surges or fires. Overall...A+ product, APP, and price! Way to go TREATLIFE! I cant wait for future products!
