I only used these with the app, not the voice assistant option. Everything works well enough, and my only complaint with these is that they sometimes will randomly turn off. It happens with heavy draw and light draw equipment, and in different physical locations. It seemed to happen regardless if I swapped out the plugs. I have never used this kind of Internet of Things device before, so I dont know if that is just a feature of this type of tech. There is a setting in the app to tell the plug to resume the last state, and it will do that - its just a little disconcerting to be sitting there and the light goes out, comes back, goes out again and then comes back and stays on. We dont have any power or wi-fi issues that I am otherwise aware of, so not sure whats going on. I also did try resetting the power plugs per the instructions. The concept seems like a good one, and the equipment seems otherwise well made, so I am assuming I got a bad batch or I am doing it wrong, which is why I am only dinging it one star.

I really like this product. We utilize a lot of lamps in our house. This product is a perfect fit for turning those off and on at desired times of the day, through the automated smart function. One thing I particularly like is also being able to turn off and on, the same device, multiple times per day, for example a few hours in the morning, and a few hours at night. The automation software is pretty self explanatory, but the directions that come with the product do not go into how to program the devices. It only took about 5 per device to set the timer functions. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for smart functionality at a good price. I have used other products from this company, that are also working well for me.

Some people stated that it was super easy to install and some stated it was a pain. Im siding with it being a pain. Yes I know that it only runs on 2G, but my Alexa couldnt locate the plugs, and I had to contact customer service at Amazon, which was very helpful. I had to download the Smartlife app in order for Alexa to recognize them. So, no, this was not easy to set up. It took my over 2 hours to set them up. Once they were up and running, they seemed to work well. Im decent with technology, but this was kind of stupid since I had to download a completely different app for the plugs.

Replace my plug that was not responding to app, could not pair, sent replacement quickly and without issue.

Customer support is practically non-existent... just a series of questions that go in circles. These are unreliable. The smart plugs will randomly disconnect from the network and you must unplug and replug them in to have them work again. This really defeats the purpose of automated plugs... you place behind furniture in hard-to-reach places and you are repeatedly having to get to them to reset them. It is not an in-house network problem or location of the plug to the network... one is practically next to the wireless router. Its a poor design. No recovery attempts to self-reconnect. What is even funnier is the iPhone app tells you to bring your phone closer to the plug (BUT ITS WIFI NOT BLUE TOOTH).. I have no idea what they are trying to accomplish by wanting the phone closer -- it doesnt work that way... pure genius. Bottom line due to the random drops causing these devices to be unreliable I give these a HARD PASS. (Guess who will be surprised if customer service or support even responds here)...

We were using several mechanical timers that were not very accurate and would make buzzing noises. These smart plugs are smaller, quiet and have accurate timers. The app uses Bluetooth initially to identify the plug. You then connect it to your wi-fi (make sure to have your wi-fi password ready). Setting a schedule was a bit confusing, the on/off indicator is strange. You set the time first, touch on/off, change it (to on or off), then confirm (the app says Confrim) and then touch Save. Once Id programmed the first plug, the other three were easy. I have not tried grouping the plugs. You just need the app on your phone to set/control these smart plugs. You do not need Alexa.

First of all, they dont integrate directly to Alexa. They require a seperate app to initialize and a skill for Alexa so they can talk to their server. Their signal is weak and devices within 50 ft of the router dont always respond.

These smart plugs are among the most cost-effective I could find online, and they have performed flawless for me so far. Configuration is easy using their free app, which only needs to be done once, whereafter all access to then assigned to Amazons Alexa. Download Treatlifes app, sign up for a free account, follow the easy process to identify the smart plugs and add them to your WiFi network, then name each smart plug. Once thats complete, open your Alexa-enabled device, and follow the instructions to add third party devices. Voice control integration is seamless. From start to finish, it takes about ten minutes to create the account and add to Wifi. Adding subsequent devices only takes a minute or less. One important thing to remember is that these devices need 4G Wifi, not 5G Wifi. If you have both options on your Wifi network, be sure to assign them to the 4G band.

Ive bought a few Treatlife light switches already and have been very pleased with them. I am glad to add the 4-pack of smart plugs to my collection of smart-controlled lights. The set up couldnt be any easier. After plugging them in and pressing the power button for 5 seconds, they are ready to pair. I used my existing Smart Home app that has my other devices configured and it recognized the new plug and walked through the set up process which took less than a minute. I easily added On/Off actions for the plugs and added them to Siri, so I can just say Hey Siri, switch 1 on to activate a switch. I didnt test Alexa/Google Home integration as I just let Siri handle things for me. I also added some of them into my on at sunset and off at bedtime automation schedules. These are small enough (2 7/8 wide, 1 7/16 high, 1 3/16 deep) to use just about anywhere. The manual on/off works just fine and is convenient enough to reach, though I mainly plan to use these for home automation. Make sure you have a 2.4 Ghz wifi network (not 5 Ghz) and youll be good to go in no time.
