Greater than one weekSo functionally,. These smart plugs do everything advertised. They have the 15 amp relay , they have timers, they can be in groups, they have an app, and they can connect to google and alexa. But everything is cloud based. When you install the treatlife app, you gotta create a cloud account. No cloud account, noise having them. Once created, you gotta create a home, family, and then rooms. Pairing the device is simple, push the botton, and the app uses bluetooth to find the new device and then you tell it what your wifi password is via the app and it registers to the cloud. All the timer events are in the cloud. In fact, to turn it on, the app contacts the cloud and the device turns on/ in about 5 seconds after the button press. There doesnt seem to be an internal clock for the timer events. So if your internet is down, your timer features are gone. This is why I dont like the cloud only features. We have to assume that treatlife could be gone in a year rendering these smart outlets useless. These outlets look like many other OEM smart plugs. From experience I have also learned that these devices which need a cloud account are disposable in a year, when the cloud policies changes . And do you really want a server in china having control over your appliances. The alexa and google features basically use the local home controller to connect to their cloud to control local devices. Ill keep them, but I am still looking for locally controlled outlets with a timer. These arent them. But they do work, for now.

Greater than one weekI confess to experiencing a bit of confusion when setting up these smart plugs through the Alexa app. Somehow I missed the TreatLife app in the Apple App Store and as a result of a Google search discovered that there are two other apps that are basically identical to the TreatLife app. I installed both of those and set up one of the plugs, but Alexa was not able to find the device afterwards. I struggled with the setup for a few minutes and then set everything aside. A few days later, my second search of the App Store yielded the TreatLife app. Once the devices were set up properly in that app and the accounts were linked, Alexa saw the devices without any further steps from me. All the functionality of the Alexa app works perfectly with these devices and Im very pleased with the results.

> 3 dayThese work perfectly! I’m currently using for 3 Christmas trees and a plug in the garage to outside Christmas lights. The integration with Alexa works fantastic. Outside lights are set to come on at sunset and off at a set time while the inside trees are voice controlled and grouped with rooms.

Greater than one weekI have two great uses for this product. The first is to power my electric fireplace. I paired a plug and then put it under the fireplace, where the control unit connects to 120v power. Then I turn on the switch that typically turns the fireplace on to start the flames. Because the plug is paired to Alexa, I can. now just tell Alexa to, Turn on the Fireplace and it works. The second place was on one of the lamps in my bedroom. I get up typically around 6:20. And at this time of the year, it is dark out where I am. So the plug automatically turns on at 6:20 AM. This paired with my soft-awake alarm always does the trick. Setting up the plugs was incredibly easy. And because I have already paired the app for other devices, Alexa knew about it as soon as the functions were working.

> 3 dayThis is the second set of TreatLife products Ive purchased. The first was a set of 4 light switches. The value and ease of use of those encouraged me to purchase these smart plugs when I needed some recently. As you can see in the picture, I am using it to control a space heater. That heater is located in my workshop. The other morning (before the smart plugs) I came out to find that heater running. I forgot to turn it off the night before! Bad news. Fortunately, nothing happened, but I immediately searched for a smart plug so I can set up a schedule to turn it off automatically every night just in case I forget again. When the plugs arrived (the next day wit Prime shipping), I opened them up and followed the written instructinos. NOTE: The instructions for the plugs say to download the TreatLife app, which I did, but wondered why I didnt already have it given the prior set up of light switches. Turns out they changed the name (at least) from SmartLife. I tried logging into the new app with my existing credentials, but it didnt recognize them. I pulled out the light switch instructions - how I found out the app name changed - and ran SmartLife. The old app recognized me and also recognized the new plug quickly and set up was just fine. Connected it to my Google Home devices, set up the nightly schedule, and now I dont worry about burning down my shop any more!

Greater than one weekAbout 3 weeks into the purchase our Smart plug stopped connecting to the Wifi. When I researched how to fix it and followed all the online instructions it still didnt work. I reached out to the company and they responded very quickly within the week I had a new smart plug. It hasnt had any problems since then. It is always nice to work with a company that so quickly responds to customer needs.
