> 24 hourI have been looking for an outside dimmer switch for the past three years around Christmas to no avail. Granted, there are other switches for the inside and Philips Hue has a product line, albeit expensive. However, I have been wanting a simple weather-rated outside smart plug so I could dim my outside Christmas spotlights. TreatLife came to the rescue and has worked perfectly. The set up was easy and I was up and running in no time. In addition, I was able to dim the lights to the perfect setting for my lights. Could not be happier.

> 24 hourThis outdoor plug is easy to setup feels sturdy and works great out of box. It took me about 10 minutes to setup both and in operation. If you use Smart Life app to setup, use manual setup, pick Socket Wifi -> Enter your 2.4ghz wifi information -> And change EZ mode to AP Mode. I can never get the EZ mode to work correctly and I have more than 10 Treat life switches and plugs in my house. All of them set up perfectly using AP mode but not EZ mode. I have both Alexa and Google Assistant. Adding to both app was easy and intuitive enough. I set up so if I say Alexa Merry Christmas, Alexa lights up all outdoor lights and the tree inside. I love it. Merry Christmas, everyone!

> 24 hourOK, some of the problem MAY be my inexperience with stuff like this, but Ive been using computers since the 1960s and I dont usually have such difficulty. The instructions were extremely unclear as to how to get the dimmer plug set up, and the venue was not easy to work within (I set it up where I planned to use it, in a wall outlet between some furniture. I probably spent 5 or 6 hours because it didnt operate the way I had eventually gathered/interpreted it should. Putting into pairing or discovery mode worked sometimes, and other times (if I failed to get it discovered) I had to unplug it and plug it in again (I think I had to. its hard to say.) Once that was done, connecting to Alexa was more of the same, and Alexa couldnt find it. The instructions were completely unclear, repeating things Id already done, etc. I tried chat support on my phone and the chatters instructions were impossible to follow while using my phone at the same time. Eventually it was the next day and they sent me some attachments but by then id gotten it working. But then I was prompted to download yet more software for it and that reversed the whole process. Back to square one, and more hours. Now its working and it works great, except the only way to control it is by phone, I gather. Cant do anything actually AT the device. Maybe this is all par for the course. Actually I hope so because I have not been willing to set up any other device because Im catching up with the things i didnt get done while trying to master this one. I do NOT think it is the device, but what I see as a basic incoherence and/or writing and chat communication ineptitude (yes, partly mine). What a nightmare.

> 24 hourI purchased this product so that I could dim the lights on my back porch and the lights on an adjacent patio (see picture). For that, it works extremely well. Once I connected the plug to the lights and connected the plug to WiFi (a process made easy by following the app instructions), I noted that there were 4 different settings available to allow the plug to work with whatever set of lights you are connecting it to. In my case the preselected setting worked fine. Interestingly, I was able to adjust the range of dimming such that there is a top end and a low end and I could set them at whatever levels I wanted. Again, I used the default, but if you want your lights to be brighter at the lowest dimmer setting, you can adjust for that. Once I got both strings of light setup, I realized that you could program the app to turn both sets of lights on with one button press in the app and I could also preadjust the brightness of the lights so that every time I press the button, they come on at the -readjusted dimming level. There are multiple settings and buttons you can create. All in all, this is a very versatile product that does everything I wanted and more.

> 24 hourGreat addition to my Edison lights in the backyard. The treatlife app and the fact that you can Control them with Alexa skills is frick’in AWESOME! One piece of advice, read the directions and follow them to the T.

> 24 hourAnother great product from Treatlife! I happened upon my first Treatlife switch almost a year ago. It was a 4 pack of wall light switches to control our outdoor lights. I have use the Smart Life and Amazon Alexa apps to control them. Since then I have add many different Treatlife products to our home and was thrilled when I saw they now have an outdoor switch so we can control some outdoor lighting. Like all the other Treatlife products setup was easy and the dimming function is super cool. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

> 24 hourSo far so good. These were easy to set up and integrate with my other smart switches/plugs. I chose to use the smartlife app rather than Treatlifes app since I also have several plugs from other brands in my house. As another reviewer mentioned, if using smartlife, just select the socket wifi option when adding. The program will recognize these plugs as dimmers. The plugs are rated IP44 which technically is splash proof - which is fine for my application since I am using them outdoors but undercover. Im not sure how comfortable I would be with placing them in a fully weather exposed location. I purchased 2 of these smart dimming plugs to control dimmable LED string lights around my patio. I am using 1 plug to control the perimeter string lights, and 1 to control the string lights over the seating area to allow for independent control of the lighting as needed. They can dim my string lights flicker free down to 1% though I find 10% is about the lowest useful setting for me. It is very cool to have my lights on a schedule as well as fully controllable via the app or voice control (Alexa or Google).

> 24 hourWorks great. Very intuitive to use. My 14 year old daughter stole one from the two pack for herself. Hooked them both up to Alexa devices without issue. I now have a dimmable lamp in my livingroom that I scheduled to automatically turn on and off. Only downside is it is a little bulky and the plug has to be in the bottom socket if you want to use both plugs. Very friendly company that actually cares about their customers input so I wouldnt be surprised if this gets addressed in a 2nd gen. Would recommend company and their products.

> 24 hourGreat product to dim LED string lights. Includes additional dimmer sensitivity settings in case the set of lights you have flicker while dimming. Integrates with Echo and Google Assistant. One star knocked off for the app being a bit confusing at first in relation to the dimmer sensitivity settings. Also the product is called TreatLife, but you need to enable the Amazon skill SmartLife to have it connect. Theres another skill called TreatLife, which is clearly the same manufacturer, but doesnt work and just causes confusion. The other negative is there is no local automation control of this out of the box and it requires cloud connectivity (for local smart hubs like Hubitat). Apparently there is a way to flash the firmware, but I just did a workaround to use cloud connectivity to the Hubitat for my simple automation.

> 24 hourI have spent over 2 hours trying to get these devices to connect to my phone to be able to remotely use them, and I still have not been able to connect. They do not seem to be too smart, as their name would imply.
