Greater than one weekThis was my fourth purchase and every last one has been awesome. Easy to set up, easy to use and Ive yet to have an issue with the app. I love being able to dim my Italian lights in the backyard and I love being able to set up routines to turn on and off for not only my lights in the backyard but for the holiday decorations up front.

> 3 dayAfter struggling with my two so called Semi-automated 12 volt landscape light timer/transformer, Not anymore, I finely have a solution that put control in the palm of my hand (Cell Phone). The 12 volt landscape lighting timer/transformers were always off and required me to climb in the bushes to reset the on off functions which was a pain in the butt. I came across these TREATLIFE Outdoor Dimmer Smart switches on Amazon and thought I’d give them a try. Well I can tell the devises are well made and super easy to install just plug and play. The TREATLIFE app makes it super easy to program any of their smart switches from anywhere that you have a WIFI connection. I use this as a Dusk to Dawn timer switch for the LED lights in the bushes in the front of my home. You can watch many YouTube videos that can show you how to install and use these devices. Two words - Great devices!

> 3 dayI was tired of forgetting to turn on or off the outdoor Christmas lights so I bought two of these. They are very sturdy and I am sure they will last for years. I can find a use for them after the holidays as well. Turning on patio lights, or remotely turning on a desk lamp. It was a little challenging to add the devices to the iOS iPhone app, auto-scan dis not work for me. But I was able to connect manually. I would recommend this product.

> 3 dayOK, some of the problem MAY be my inexperience with stuff like this, but Ive been using computers since the 1960s and I dont usually have such difficulty. The instructions were extremely unclear as to how to get the dimmer plug set up, and the venue was not easy to work within (I set it up where I planned to use it, in a wall outlet between some furniture. I probably spent 5 or 6 hours because it didnt operate the way I had eventually gathered/interpreted it should. Putting into pairing or discovery mode worked sometimes, and other times (if I failed to get it discovered) I had to unplug it and plug it in again (I think I had to. its hard to say.) Once that was done, connecting to Alexa was more of the same, and Alexa couldnt find it. The instructions were completely unclear, repeating things Id already done, etc. I tried chat support on my phone and the chatters instructions were impossible to follow while using my phone at the same time. Eventually it was the next day and they sent me some attachments but by then id gotten it working. But then I was prompted to download yet more software for it and that reversed the whole process. Back to square one, and more hours. Now its working and it works great, except the only way to control it is by phone, I gather. Cant do anything actually AT the device. Maybe this is all par for the course. Actually I hope so because I have not been willing to set up any other device because Im catching up with the things i didnt get done while trying to master this one. I do NOT think it is the device, but what I see as a basic incoherence and/or writing and chat communication ineptitude (yes, partly mine). What a nightmare.

Greater than one weekOutside of Phillips Hue, I have standardized my smart home devices through Smart Life. Treatlife products work great with this app, are always reliable, and are cost-effective which is why I keep coming back to them. I have had these outdoor smart outlets in the weather for all 4 seasons and even in some extreme/severe weather. Ive never had an issue. They continue to be reliable and stay connected to wifi at all times.

> 3 daySo far so good. These were easy to set up and integrate with my other smart switches/plugs. I chose to use the smartlife app rather than Treatlifes app since I also have several plugs from other brands in my house. As another reviewer mentioned, if using smartlife, just select the socket wifi option when adding. The program will recognize these plugs as dimmers. The plugs are rated IP44 which technically is splash proof - which is fine for my application since I am using them outdoors but undercover. Im not sure how comfortable I would be with placing them in a fully weather exposed location. I purchased 2 of these smart dimming plugs to control dimmable LED string lights around my patio. I am using 1 plug to control the perimeter string lights, and 1 to control the string lights over the seating area to allow for independent control of the lighting as needed. They can dim my string lights flicker free down to 1% though I find 10% is about the lowest useful setting for me. It is very cool to have my lights on a schedule as well as fully controllable via the app or voice control (Alexa or Google).

> 3 dayOrdered the exterior dimmer 2 pack and used them to control about 300W of incandescent string lights each. One on our porch, which is covered, and put the other in an uncovered location. Real easy to set up, the app is pretty intuitive. After a couple months the uncovered one stopped working, and it was outside the return window. I reached out to the folks at TreatLife and they were responsive and sent me a new dimmer right away. Will try the dimmer in the same location next season, but add a small plastic bag over it to protect it from rain

> 3 dayWorks great. Very intuitive to use. My 14 year old daughter stole one from the two pack for herself. Hooked them both up to Alexa devices without issue. I now have a dimmable lamp in my livingroom that I scheduled to automatically turn on and off. Only downside is it is a little bulky and the plug has to be in the bottom socket if you want to use both plugs. Very friendly company that actually cares about their customers input so I wouldnt be surprised if this gets addressed in a 2nd gen. Would recommend company and their products.

Greater than one weekI have quite a few Treatlife products, and have been very happy in general. Unfortunately, these outdoor plugs are disappointing. The two big issues are: - Theyre limited to 400 watts maximum. This is absolutely crippling. My plan was to use these plugs to control holiday lights, and it doesnt take many strings to exceed the 400 watt limit. When that happens, the plugs overheat and shut off automatically. - When these plugs lose power (e.g., you unplug them), they revert to a default 10% dim setting. That cant possibly be what most people want.
