This was my fourth purchase and every last one has been awesome. Easy to set up, easy to use and Ive yet to have an issue with the app. I love being able to dim my Italian lights in the backyard and I love being able to set up routines to turn on and off for not only my lights in the backyard but for the holiday decorations up front.

Great product. My indoor Christmas lights were too bright, so I added this dimmer. I used one for my outdoor lights too. Now I can tell Alexa to set my outdoor lights to 50%. Or whatever I want. Easy to set up. Be sure to use the TreatLife app and not the Smart Life app as indicated by the Amazon description. Good for outdoor use, as its waterproof. There is a manual button on the unit to turn it off/on and to adjust the brightness. Buy this product. You wont be disappointed.

Setting these up via the app was very simple. I have used them about 9 months now. Starting with string lights in my backyard patio (turning on and off on a schedule every night) and now my Christmas lights. I have had 0 problems with them. I loved them so much I even purchased them for my indoor Christmas trees. I plugged them directly into the outlet under the house overhang so while they occasionally get a little rain or snow, I don’t know what their limit is. I also love the dimmer function! My wife (and me a little) hate the look of LED Christmas lights on full brightness and this make it easy to get the perfect warm white look of them.

I purchased the two pack smart dimmers to control string lights for my back patio and a chandelier with an Edison bulb that I’m adding to a gazebo that is going up soon. With the TreatLife App, these dimmers were easy to connect to my 2.4G band of my two band router. Once connected, the dimmers were very easy to control. I have yet to play with the timer and schedule features of the App, but plan to use those with the new dimmer switches that I will get soon to use with my Christmas lights. Good product. Has a good, hefty feel. Will definitely buy again. The pictures include several dimming stages on the Edison bulb.

As with all Treatlife products, this one works for the most part. Its easy to set up, works with the SmartLife app, powers on and off as expected, and dims. Ive had it installed outside for a week now in the rain for 2 of those days and have not had any problems. The first callout is one for all outdoor dimmers. Most are limited to 350 watts. This one is 400 watts - so better than most. I didnt notice that so unfortunately its not working as I would have hoped. I fixed the problem by running two dimmers each controlling half of my load. The second callout is a bigger issue. When the dimmer looses power (its unplugged or you have a power outage), it still powers on and off but does so at the lowest setting (18%). Therefore you have to make sure to set a routine to power on and then change the dimming level to the proper setting just incase youve lost power recently. To be clear, this only happens on loss of electric company power - not when the dimmer is powered on and off through normal means. I would get this again but would consider other ones if it met all my requirements and I knew it would hold its dimmer setting even after loss of power. Minus one star because its limited to 400w and minus a second because it wont remember settings.

This seems like a quality product; it works as advertised and is easy to set up. It gets my vote.

Its unfortunate they put works only with 2.4GHz Wifi. That is a gross oversimplification. 2.4GHz is only required during the INITIAL SETUP phase. After that you can use 5GHz. Im using a TP-Link Deco mesh network and the router app allows enabling/disabling of either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Simply disable the 5GHz during setup of the plug and the install should proceed without a hitch. Then once the smart dimmer plug is successfully added and working, you can re-enable the 5GHz on the router. If you dont have an app, theres usually a waly to log into your router to enable/disable the two bands. BTW, I suspect that the reason you often see that these wont work with a mesh network is that they only communicate with the specific node that you set up the smart plug for, and wont work node-to-node. I havent tested this yet, but thats probably right due to the different MAC addresses in each node. If youre lucky that all of you dimmers can be located within range of the node where you do the setup, you should be in business. Hope this helps!

I buy this to automate my Christmas lights. The control do what is supposed to do. Is easy to install you only need to plug in the connector to the outlet. Im using smart life app, not the one provided by treatlife. Also you can plug a power strip so you can automate (power on/off) multiple devices with a single dimmer. The only improvement for this is that it do not keep state after losing power, so if it lose power you need to turn it on again, it is a great behavior for my lights but I try to use the other dimmer with my fridge Its working but have to schedule a turn on intelligence every hour to keep it running just in case electricity failed. Overall great devices!

This outdoor plug is easy to setup feels sturdy and works great out of box. It took me about 10 minutes to setup both and in operation. If you use Smart Life app to setup, use manual setup, pick Socket Wifi -> Enter your 2.4ghz wifi information -> And change EZ mode to AP Mode. I can never get the EZ mode to work correctly and I have more than 10 Treat life switches and plugs in my house. All of them set up perfectly using AP mode but not EZ mode. I have both Alexa and Google Assistant. Adding to both app was easy and intuitive enough. I set up so if I say Alexa Merry Christmas, Alexa lights up all outdoor lights and the tree inside. After struggling with my two so called Semi-automated 12 volt landscape light timer/transformer, Not anymore, I finely have a solution that put control in the palm of my hand (Cell Phone). The 12 volt landscape lighting timer/transformers were always off and required me to climb in the bushes to reset the on off functions which was a pain in the butt. I came across these TREATLIFE Outdoor Dimmer Smart switches on Amazon and thought I’d give them a try. Well I can tell the devises are well made and super easy to install just plug and play. The TREATLIFE app makes it super easy to program any of their smart switches from anywhere that you have a WIFI connection. I use this as a Dusk to Dawn timer switch for the LED lights in the bushes in the front of my home. You can watch many YouTube videos that can show you how to install and use these devices. Two words - Great devices!
