> 3 dayWorks great. Very intuitive to use. My 14 year old daughter stole one from the two pack for herself. Hooked them both up to Alexa devices without issue. I now have a dimmable lamp in my livingroom that I scheduled to automatically turn on and off. Only downside is it is a little bulky and the plug has to be in the bottom socket if you want to use both plugs. Very friendly company that actually cares about their customers input so I wouldnt be surprised if this gets addressed in a 2nd gen. Would recommend company and their products.

> 3 dayThis outdoor plug is easy to setup feels sturdy and works great out of box. It took me about 10 minutes to setup both and in operation. If you use Smart Life app to setup, use manual setup, pick Socket Wifi -> Enter your 2.4ghz wifi information -> And change EZ mode to AP Mode. I can never get the EZ mode to work correctly and I have more than 10 Treat life switches and plugs in my house. All of them set up perfectly using AP mode but not EZ mode. I have both Alexa and Google Assistant. Adding to both app was easy and intuitive enough. I set up so if I say Alexa Merry Christmas, Alexa lights up all outdoor lights and the tree inside. I love it. Merry Christmas, everyone!

> 3 dayI have bought many of these products for different things - 1 way, 3 way, outdoor plug, etc. They are really good products and I control all of them in the same app so its very easy. These outdoor plugs are great as usual for Treatlife products. It dims too, even though I wasnt looking for that function, its nice to have. This is a plug and go. Nothing else to do, other than downloading the app if you dont already have it or adding it in the app if you already have the app. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayGreat product to dim LED string lights. Includes additional dimmer sensitivity settings in case the set of lights you have flicker while dimming. Integrates with Echo and Google Assistant. One star knocked off for the app being a bit confusing at first in relation to the dimmer sensitivity settings. Also the product is called TreatLife, but you need to enable the Amazon skill SmartLife to have it connect. Theres another skill called TreatLife, which is clearly the same manufacturer, but doesnt work and just causes confusion. The other negative is there is no local automation control of this out of the box and it requires cloud connectivity (for local smart hubs like Hubitat). Apparently there is a way to flash the firmware, but I just did a workaround to use cloud connectivity to the Hubitat for my simple automation.

Greater than one weekI have quite a few Treatlife products, and have been very happy in general. Unfortunately, these outdoor plugs are disappointing. The two big issues are: - Theyre limited to 400 watts maximum. This is absolutely crippling. My plan was to use these plugs to control holiday lights, and it doesnt take many strings to exceed the 400 watt limit. When that happens, the plugs overheat and shut off automatically. - When these plugs lose power (e.g., you unplug them), they revert to a default 10% dim setting. That cant possibly be what most people want.

> 3 dayI recently bought the Treatlife outdoor dimmer plugs so I didnt have to manually turn off the string lights I have on my patio, and this has made life so much easier. I was able to set-up a schedule with the dimmer plug so that the lights turn on/off automatically, and now I dont have to do it manually. Ive forgotten to turn them off so many times and they stayed on all night long, so now Im not wasting electricity anymore. I also connected it with Alexa, which was incredibly easy to do. It works seamlessly, and Im amazed at how responsive it is when you give Alexa commands to control the dimmer plug, almost instantaneous. These have worked out so well that Im ordering more plugs to use for my Christmas tree lights, as well as my outdoor decorations and lights this year.

06-06-2025So far so good. These were easy to set up and integrate with my other smart switches/plugs. I chose to use the smartlife app rather than Treatlifes app since I also have several plugs from other brands in my house. As another reviewer mentioned, if using smartlife, just select the socket wifi option when adding. The program will recognize these plugs as dimmers. The plugs are rated IP44 which technically is splash proof - which is fine for my application since I am using them outdoors but undercover. Im not sure how comfortable I would be with placing them in a fully weather exposed location. I purchased 2 of these smart dimming plugs to control dimmable LED string lights around my patio. I am using 1 plug to control the perimeter string lights, and 1 to control the string lights over the seating area to allow for independent control of the lighting as needed. They can dim my string lights flicker free down to 1% though I find 10% is about the lowest useful setting for me. It is very cool to have my lights on a schedule as well as fully controllable via the app or voice control (Alexa or Google).

> 3 dayAs with all Treatlife products, this one works for the most part. Its easy to set up, works with the SmartLife app, powers on and off as expected, and dims. Ive had it installed outside for a week now in the rain for 2 of those days and have not had any problems. The first callout is one for all outdoor dimmers. Most are limited to 350 watts. This one is 400 watts - so better than most. I didnt notice that so unfortunately its not working as I would have hoped. I fixed the problem by running two dimmers each controlling half of my load. The second callout is a bigger issue. When the dimmer looses power (its unplugged or you have a power outage), it still powers on and off but does so at the lowest setting (18%). Therefore you have to make sure to set a routine to power on and then change the dimming level to the proper setting just incase youve lost power recently. To be clear, this only happens on loss of electric company power - not when the dimmer is powered on and off through normal means. I would get this again but would consider other ones if it met all my requirements and I knew it would hold its dimmer setting even after loss of power. Minus one star because its limited to 400w and minus a second because it wont remember settings.

> 3 dayShocked that these things work so great for outdoor festoon LED lighting. They dim very smoothly and can be set up on the schedule reliably. The app is incredibly easy to use. Setup is a breeze. No clue if they will last durability wise, but for the price, very very impressed.

> 3 dayI wasn’t expecting much due to the price, but the product seems to be built very well. Unfortunately it wouldn’t dim the Christmas lights on our tree, but that is not due to the functionality of these smart plugs dimmers. We will get a lot of use out of these outdoors and even use one on the Christmas tree now, even though the lights aren’t dimmable, to turn lights off and on with Alexa. Setting up the units were very straightforward and took only 5 minutes to get both units setup and programmed. If you aren’t particularly tech savvy, it might be a bit more difficult but follow the direction and you will be fine.
