> 3 dayOur family had a whole lot of fun designing and making our own tie-dye tee shirts. The colors that Tulip provides have a good range. Keep in mind when you soak your shirt/garment after wrapping in plastic wrap and leaving it overnight, the colors will become more muted. After getting most of the excess dye out I wrung it out a few times and then let it air dry on a sunny summer day. Then you should be able to wash all your tie-dye shirts together in the washer, then dry them together in the dryer. After that you should be able to wash them with normal clothes (we did, but you may want to wash separately 3 more times as per the instructions. I highly recommend this for some great family fun!

> 3 dayThe kit itself was easy to use and worked well. However I received it with the bottom of the box ripped partially open and when we opened it up to do the tie dye it was missing the instruction booklet AND the plastic drop/table cloth - 2 very important items!! Really annoying to not have instructions when it was our first time using this kit. And also really annoying to not have the plastic table cloth to protect the table from the dye as tie dying is a VERY MESSY process. We proceeded anyway cause we had everything ready to go and I didn’t want to let my kids down by scraping it due to missing items. I had to use cut up trash bags as a drop cloth. Ugh.

Greater than one weekThis was a Birthday present my husband got for me! I love Tye Dye shirts!! This was messy but so fun!! Great Tye Dye kit, easy to do even for someone who has never done Tye Dye before!! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was the size of the bottles, they are to small for great coverage. I used the whole bottle and still some white in the designs. I still love the way my shirts came out though!! TIP let the Dye set in for a good 24 hours on the material before rinsing!!! I did one Shirt at 8 hours, its not near as bright as the ones shown in pics. All shirts pictured I let set for 24 hours!!

> 3 dayAs a tie-dye product, this stuff is fine. The colors are nice and vivid and you get a lot for your money. BUT, as I just spent half a damn hour on the phone with poison control trying to figure out the toxicity of this stuff, I WILL NEVER buy this brand again. There is no information on the packaging or insert about toxicity. Not only is there no information on their website (aside from how to buy more of their products) about what the dyes are made of, if theyre toxic, or what you should do if accidentally ingesting--they dont even have the decency to list a phone number or contact information aside from a generic email address. To be clear, I had a bottle spill, the cat decided to walk through it before I could clean it up, then he started licking his feet. I finally did a super broad google search of Tulip One Step and got some random ass phone number. Played press-button roulette for a few minutes, then was finally given a number for poison control. It took two separate people from poison control to find enough of a chemical inventory of the product to let me know that, Tulips dye recipe is a SECRET....but there is a general statement of its nonhazardous, so whatevs I guess. How fing hard is it to make an easily visible/accessible toxicity label?

> 3 dayThis dye works great! The directions say to use it within the first 45 minutes of mixing the powder with water. But so much stuff happened as soon as I mixed it and I didnt get to use it for two hours. Also, I did these all at night in the dark and they turned out great lol I love that the powder is already in the bottle cause I always make a mess when I have to do it myself.

> 3 dayGood price for what you get. There are plenty of rubber bands. Each bottle really dyes a lot of pieces. Plenty to go around if doing multiples. We didnt mix the bottle with water until someone wanted to use that particular color. We have bottles that werent used and saving for next time. When putting the dye on, sometimes less is more, as the saying goes. If you put a lot of dye, like some of ours were done, you still have tye dye, but the colors reach one another and there isnt any white left on the garment.

> 3 dayOnce you mix a color you MUST use it within 45 minutes or it loses its potency. You cannot save for another day / project. Also, SUPER BIG is misleading...the amount of clothing/ items you can dye is really dependent on the size. If you are doing size large/ XL or bigger it only does 2-5 shirts OR LESS (again dependent on amount of colors and design you want - the more colors and the bigger the design the less items you will be able to do). Plus you are stuck with colors you really dont need or want and are wasted. I did one shirt size 3X with 6 colors and did not have enough to do a second and now am stuck with brown, black, red, lime, yellow and green colors that I really cant use. This kit would be good for a kids play date or party. If you are planning on experimenting or doing a lot of dyeing on different projects you would be better off getting the individual jars of powder and measuring & mixing as needed.
