> 3 dayWonderful product and the bottles make tie dying possible for young kids with some adult help (3-5 year olds). As long as you follow the instructions (I let our shirts sit at least 24 hrs before rinsing) the colors come out vibrant and withstand future washes really well. No soda ash needed but you do definitely want to prewash new shirts and start with damp fabric. Super fun!

> 3 dayMy grandkids (6, 10 and 12) and I had a blast making tye-dye shirts. I have a few suggests: 1. The gloves that come with the kit are HUGE. You may want to get small disposable gloves. 2. If you have more than 2 people tye-dying at the same time you will want a larger drop cloth. 3. This product with make a ton of projects. We did 7 shirts and still had a ton of dye left. The shirts came out great!

> 3 dayOnce you mix a color you MUST use it within 45 minutes or it loses its potency. You cannot save for another day / project. Also, SUPER BIG is misleading...the amount of clothing/ items you can dye is really dependent on the size. If you are doing size large/ XL or bigger it only does 2-5 shirts OR LESS (again dependent on amount of colors and design you want - the more colors and the bigger the design the less items you will be able to do). Plus you are stuck with colors you really dont need or want and are wasted. I did one shirt size 3X with 6 colors and did not have enough to do a second and now am stuck with brown, black, red, lime, yellow and green colors that I really cant use. This kit would be good for a kids play date or party. If you are planning on experimenting or doing a lot of dyeing on different projects you would be better off getting the individual jars of powder and measuring & mixing as needed.

> 3 dayThis was a pretty large sized kit. I got plenty of rubber bands and the big plastic sheet was very helpful. No soda ash was included, so you would need to buy that separately. Each bottle of dye should be mixed with cold water for bright, vibrant colors and hot water for more pastel and muted colors. Each bottle would dye up to 2 medium sized adult t-shirts if you saturated the shirts very well. If you were going for shirts with more white it may do 4 shirts. I would say if you were going to use every color in this set evenly, you could get about 20 well dyed adult medium t-shirts. That said, I did not use every color because I didnt like every color. But this was an excellent started set because of the cost of the bottles and rubber bands.

> 3 dayThe kit was fun and relatively straightforward. The suggested designs were helpful even though we ended up looking up more complicated ones online. We dunked the clothing in water and then wrung it out well enough before rubber banding them into desired designs. When it came to the actual application, it was messier than expected. We did it outside on plastic tarp but the liquid kind of squirts everywhere. I wouldnt recommend trying to do small/intricate design with these bottles alone. We rotated the clothing to try and saturate fully from all sides, but again, it got really messy. After we were done applying it looked like the underside would end up an ugly runny brown, and I was worried. But it definitely did not turn out that way! We let our shirts sit for 24 hours because thats how long it took the sweatshirts to become mostly dry, then rinsed them well and put them in the washer with just a teeny tiny bit of laundry soap on cold and delicate, large load because it recommends using excess water to wash. Everything turned out really great and vibrant and not brown at all!! However, we used every bit of all the bottles except for the brown one, and ended up with two crewneck sweatshirts, a short sleeve tshirt and two long sleeve tshirts (these two arent pictured). If we hadnt done sweatshirts and long sleeve shirts we MAYBE could have made 8 tshirts total. The kit says you can do up to 36 projects, but unless youre tie-dyeing headbands and bandanas, that part is not true. Overall good product, though.

> 3 dayThe cardboard itself came open, but I think that was more of a warehouse issue than a product packaging issue. I used 6 or 7 of the colors to make 4 long sleeved t-shirts and still a decent amount of dye left. I followed the directions to a T, but the shirts came out a little less vibrant than I was hoping. Cant beat it for the price though. Ill get a better quality dye eventually, but this is great for practice.

Greater than one weekKinda fades with first wash. But it is really fun and easy to use. Just add water. Lots of colors and the pigments are pretty. I like the variety and colors, but I don’t like that the guide and instructions are so minimal (just the back of the cardboard) because it doesn’t have enough direction to be able to start without prior knowledge and experience.
