> 24 hourThis design is awesome. this is definitely one of those items that will keep honest and some dishonest people honest. I dont know how durable the security cable is but it will take bolt cutters for a real dishonest person to steal this. My advice to others is make a code longer then 4 digits. I have a couple reasons for this. 1. If someone (a dishonest person they does research) attempts to open the case, they will enter the default code of 1,2,3,4. Unfortunately, and I have no ideas on how to fix this, the device will beep or blink and let them know that was the wrong code. It also lets them know your code is 4 digits long. My code is 7 digits and it lets me know on the 7th digit if the code is wrong. 2. As you can see there are 4 digits to work with to create a code. If you have a 4 digit code the number of possibilities is 4x4x4x4 or 256. Lets say your password is 4,3,4,3 and they start attempting to crack it with 1,1,1,1; then 1,1,1,2 and so on. Even with a 4 minute time out after 6 failures, they can crack your code in less then 3 hours if they are very focused. A 5 digit code 4,3,4,3,4 changes that to 12+ hours. (now its 4x4x4x4x4 or 1024 possibilities. a 6 digit code (4096 possibilities) makes it 45+ hours. 7 digits...(16384) 182+ hours. 8 digits (65536) 728 hours. Keep in mind if they get your code half way through they attempts then the hours are cut is half. Now on to my complaint. My only issue is not with the Lifepod 2.0. but with advertising. On the Vaultek Lifepod 2.0 site there is images of a Lifepod 2.0 on a beach with a surfboard. The first image shows the Lifepod 2.0 being taken out of a backpack. The second image shows the Lifepod 2.0 open on the beach with the tray removed. The tray is fine with all the tools tied to it. My issue is with what was under the tray. This image implies you can have a compact gun and a gopro under the tray. I have a gopro hero 9 and one of the smallest micro 9mm hand guns. neither will fit in the lifepod under the tray. My gun will fit in the tray and I can close the lid but it is tight. I have the Colion Noir version which includes a leather card holder. But I figure if it fill it with cards the lid will not close with the gun in the tray. The gopro will NOT fit in the Lifepod with the tray. My only solution for that is to cut a hole in the tray and put the go pro in the bottom where the hole in the tray will be. When I am finished with my design I will include a picture. Again... the Lifepod 2.0 is well designed and seems perfect for my plans. If you purchase one please use a 6, 7, or 8 digit code. Thanks

> 24 hourSo far so good. Bought it for a work trip, we’ll see how it goes at the airline. HK P2000, 2 mags, 75 rounds of ammo. I kept the bottom foam in which made the tray not fit but I’m not upset about it. Combo easy to set, LED function and timer easy to set.

> 24 hourDisappointed on the capacity of the Life Pod 2. I am trying to fit two subcompacts. A Hellcat and a Glock 43x MOS. There is no way the safe will hold both guns with mounted optics imbedded in the pluck foam. Only alternative is to have one pistol with a spare magazine in the bottom compartment and second pistol on the removable tray. Which leaves not much space left for other items aside from credit cards and cash. The safe needs to be made two more inches in width and height. Another inch in depth to accommodate subcompacts.

> 24 hourThis vault seems sturdy enough. I just wish it was just a bit deeper to get both my handguns in it. Neither of these two weapons are big. I had to take out the middle piece in order to fit both but that is okay. All in all a great little vault.

> 24 hourJust received my LifePod 2.0. My first impression is that it may keep honest people honest. If a bad actor simply takes it, they will easily bust it open or pry it open as it only has a single lock point and, at the end of the day, it is plastic. Vaultek has implemented security where the unit cannot be reprogrammed when locked. It’s fairly well made but don’t expect it to be waterproof. The manual says it should not be submerged in more than 1 foot of water and at best Is resistant to spills and splashes. It’s good when traveling or for transport but certainly is no substitute for a safe or steel lockbox. I’ll probably keep it but you can buy a comparable product for much less. Nothing special about this product.

> 24 hourOk only 4 stars because of 2 things 1) the BS of the all in one page crap making me miss the fact that they had the biometric version 2) the putting backing for the organizer into the case is a nightmare. I already returned one of them because after following the misguided directions, the backing flapped and stuck to itself instantly making it USELESS 3) you cant have the handled completed connected along with the tether.. not a huge deal but annoying having to remove a side of it to install the tether. Overall this is a nice case though They fixed the lockpickinglawyers exploit from the 1.0 model - basically he stuck a fork in the side and used it to push the program button and reset the code... NOW the program button is disabled when the box is locked so you cant do this. Also you can even disable the use of the key hole to prevent lockpicking.. just dont forget your code or let the battery die since the battery access is INSIDE the case claims to be TSA compliant too which is good I guess Really should come with the handle though.. the organizer is nice but not essential but the handle really seems like it should be part of it

> 24 hourProduct is very well made from quality materials, but it is not a fast access gun safe. You first must manual open the side compression latches, then enter your code to gain access to the box and its contents. I intend to keep it, as I have another use for it, but it will not serve the purpose of a secure, fast access container for a handgun in a motor vehicle.
